Morton's and Palm creamed spinach also both spectacular.

I am a cheap a$$. I want Hawaii for $99 a night :-:

Honestly, if I could find a great hotel for about $150ish a night I would be happy.

I've been to a few. Most of them are awful. A couple are the genuine article and are okay.

We have an office in SAT so I've been to a couple of Tex Mex restaurants. I think everyone gets drunk on margaritas so everything after that just tastes good.

Doubletree is about 150 but not worth it if you have no Hilton status.

Bob's was sounding really great based on what I read. I was also looking at Palm and Morton's because I've never been to either, but Bob's may win the day.

The food at Bob's was great, as was the service. The setting is not nearly as nice as any of the other three.

You couldn't go wrong on any of them.

Then you might be further away from the ocean. I thought someone here always stayed at the Sheraton. The location looked pretty good when I walked past it.

texmex yes, but the genuine mexican places probably don't even serve alcohol.

The two here don't.

I got my condo and rental car for that in Kona; amenities were lacking beyond "it's a condo" and "one can drive other places on the island".

jrzyshawn Aug 6, 2009 9:27 pm

That sounds like a great deal.

I would be open to a condo.

Mine was "waited until a few days before traveling, then did the package on Expedia". Not the most recommended means of scheduling ...

I could do that as well but refuse to have an Alabama phone number unless it spells something mega-cool.
