They only had one running. The checkpoint was dead.

For the more UA savvy people: just for poops and grins, I was playing with .bomb and in a moment of "Wow, I don't want to get up" I started reading fare rules. I find it absolutely amazing that they allow for four segments on flights as short as GEG-SEA.

Lemme make sure I got this: GEG-somewhere-somewhere else-SEA is possible if you have the tools to see the inventory.

Kind of.

I'm pretty sure someone at UA just copies an exisisting fare rule and changes the cities in most cases.

However, if you pull up the routing information, it will generally say not valid on flights xxx and list a whole list.

Plus, i haven't figured out how, they do some routing limitations so something like LAX-IAD-IAH is not a valid routing for the cheap fare for LAX-IAH.

It's Black Magic at it's finest.

The Canuck and I were the only ones going through the other night and they sent us through pufferville.

I hold the distinction of being the first person to set-off the puffer in LAS. That was a  afternoon.

The supposedly new and improved security screening machine that sends puffs of compressed air into places that I was well and truly not expecting compressed air to be.

+1. We were the only ones in the checkpoint area on Sunday and we both got puffed.
