Dang it! Now that we've talked about food I'm stuck looking at different restaurants in different cities...

US is flying E190s to IAH now? Been a while since I flew on them on that route. It was all E175s on that route when I was US gold.

I've not been on any Embraer other than 145. I've heard good things about the 175 and 190, and would have booked either.

I miss CC. I am envious. Which restaurant?

Probably the Maggiano's by Reading Terminal Market.

I'll PM you my cell.

Could have been either, not sure.

CM, may I suggest Standard Tap for the food options in CC? I have eaten there a few times with my cousin and had beers there with sdm1130 and highly recommend it if it isn't packed with the college crowd.

The beers were quite good. ^

FRA-DFW is still a 343, hasn't had a divert to IAH though.

FRA-LAX is served by a 744 and 346.

There is also a place on N 2nd nearby that serves really good Italian but it's a bit pricey and I can't think of the name.

I would do it, but it's well away from the right neighborhood. I'll file that away for future use though, thanks. ^ I might drive in to meet the boys or I might take the train in - not sure yet. With one of them staying at 17th and Race, and the other at 12th and Race, we're clear across from Standard.

There's also Monk's on 16th for broad beer selection/pub food.

Standard Tap is in Northern Liberties, so a little ways away from Center City proper [/Philadelphia pedantry] ETA that while I was writing this and talking to my wife CM said the same thing.

OAG says US is only flying E170s and E175s to IAH (my experience too, though on the rare occasions I go to IAH I stay away from US if I can). They fly E190s to DFW from PHL.

Cheapest options to fly from a LH gateway to PHL are wherever WN or FL flies (probably ORD or ATL or MCO off the top of my head).

I dont believe that I saw the info posted for the * Do but I may be wrong. Are yall just looking at possible flights to be ready to get the tickets you want?

Maggiano's? Drinks and large plates?

I noticed that place at the Cherry Hill Mall passing it on the BoltBus. Is it any good? We have one up in this area.

Maybe it was a 170 and a 175, which would make sense it did not look THAT much longer....

Right now, it looks like they are still running only 170s and 175s between PHL and IAH. I do know they run 733s, 734s, E190s, and one CRJ900 between CLT and IAH. And 733s between IAH and PHX.

Yum! I know it's a chain restaurant, but... I've been to that location a few times. Never had bad service nor bad food there. It was pretty good.^ Wish I could hop on a plane and escape the Texas heat to join you for dinner.:(

My cousin lives near the art museum and walks to work in downtown, so I figured Center City encompassed everything near there, but I see looking at a map that it's very specific areas.

Pretty much. If I can't get on the IAH-FRA 744 in C for a decent price then I'll probably have to bow out.

I live in the suburbs and don't know the city all that well, but if you look at real estate listings or read restaurant reviews you learn the neighborhoods pretty quickly ;)

The area around the art museum is a very pleasant neighborhood. I wish we could have afforded to live there when we first moved to Philly.

Where do you live? I lived in Bala Cynwyd when I lived there. My wife lived in CC - 2400 Chestnut when she was there. She came to visit me more than I went to visit her, since parking is free in my area and it was an easy hop to Fairmount Park, Manayunk, and East Falls. If I'm not mistaken, the Philly bike race was this past weekend. I miss that.:(
