Please send just the rain here. We need it to cool off.

While I like the thought of web based apps, i hate the load time and query time. Custom apps are far faster and that's why I prefer the other tool over the web-site competitor.

And a big ^^ to adding the Flying Fish component.

In this case the query time is all on the remote sites where the data is stored. And for some of the queries it proves significant. Nothing I can do about that though.

The Fish bit was a lot of fun to figure out how to do, including calculating the GC routing. In reality I just borrowed code from someone else for that but I still had to convert it to VB.NET so there was some work and fun there. Oh, and I've got ~5000 airports included in my data set, way more than the Flying Fish (which is missing MEX, among others).

Where do you live? I lived in Bala Cynwyd when I lived there. My wife lived in CC - 2400 Chestnut when she was there. She came to visit me more than I went to visit her, since parking is free in my area and it was an easy hop to Fairmount Park, Manayunk, and East Falls. If I'm not mistaken, the Philly bike race was this past weekend. I miss that.:(

I live in Wynnewood. The Philly bike race was indeed this weekend, and the threatened rain held off (no one had to ride the Manayunk Wall in the rain). My bike racing, however, is limited to watching my kids ride up and down the street, so I didn't really follow it.

I'm pretty sure one of my college roommates lived at 2400 Chestnut when he lived in Philly several years ago. He was working in DC and his wife was working in Newark, which made Philly the perfect place to live.

Parking is definitely a challenge in Center City. I take the R5 or, in former days, the P&W and the El whenever I can.

I like Wynnewood. Actually, all of the Main Line is a nice place to live (on the Montco side). We're considering moving to the Main Line if we happen to move back to the Philly area. Agreed w/ the parking in CC. I used to take the 44 bus into the city. What really gets to me is that in a lot of cities - NYC and Houston for example - street parking is free on Sundays. Not in CC. Unless that's changed since I moved away from Philly (back in September). Taxadelphia definitely has a reputation.

Cheapest options to fly from a LH gateway to PHL are wherever WN or FL flies (probably ORD or ATL or MCO off the top of my head).

I looked into all three gateways, in addition to DTW. I'm not decided on what I'm going to ticket, or even if I'm going.

I noticed that place at the Cherry Hill Mall passing it on the BoltBus. Is it any good? We have one up in this area.

Good food, but can have inconsistent service. Fiancee's family went there for Mother's Day and had  service, but Cherry Hill is also very new.

Right now, it looks like they are still running only 170s and 175s between PHL and IAH. I do know they run 733s, 734s, E190s, and one CRJ900 between CLT and IAH. And 733s between IAH and PHX.

I knew it was a bigger E-Jet.

Yum! I know it's a chain restaurant, but... I've been to that location a few times. Never had bad service nor bad food there. It was pretty good.^ Wish I could hop on a plane and escape the Texas heat to join you for dinner.:(

Mas es mas.

It's nuts! I work in a trailer (ah, the government) and it really sounds like the world is going to end.

Apparently CO posted last among legacies in on-time performance for April. Someone really needs to solve EWR's ATC issues.

Our company uses Black Tie Transportation. 1-800-445-0444. I've used them several times and they are reliable, but pricey.

Outside of NYC, Vegas, and Chicago I use Boston Coach as my go-to car service.

FYI, the transfer from ORD to MDW is a PITA.
