Are you a Mac user? If so, check out SuperDuper! - it works well for bootable disk images. Unfortunately, I don't think it automates well, so you need to remember to update your backup manually.

That's the secret to his ranking though... Building a Terminal allows you to own gates without having to use them, artificially raising your airline value.

I'd avoid iWork - it's pretty lame, IMO. Either spend the cash on MS Office, or if you're looking for a free option, check out OpenOffice or NeoOffice.

Looked at both just now. Ehh. I write and I do slideshows and spreadsheets, so Pages, Numbers, and Keynote will probably do the job just fine for me. I need my existing stuff to be readable and any future creations or edit jobs to just behave normally.

How much is iWork? Does it play nice w/ MS Office docs?

I bought the family pack, which I think was $99. It plays nice with every MS Office doc I've ever needed it to, the only quirk is some of the tables stuff in Word does not always display correctly.

Also, Macros in Excel are not the most reliable when opened using Pages.

I thought about dumping all my cash into terminal gates, but it didn't really seem like the thing to do in keeping with the spirit of the game.

I'm looking forward to being done with the move next week. I already have over a billion in cash; should be more like three billion by next week. Hopefully the next year in the game will come by then so I can order the 777-200. Then I will keep more Boeing employees housed and fed. :)

772's can be ordered now in 1.0, not sure about 2.0. The non-ER is a rather crap choice, IMO. Way too many seats for such a short range. 440 seats for 5800-something miles. I ordered two 744's in World 1.0 last night - for a few weeks now I've wondered to where else DelNorTalia could expand, and I found a place last night.

If you're going to use the gates at some point, then it's not a bad investment.

772 is available next 'year' on AM2

They can? Where? I don't see them in Boeing's listings, though I may be blind and/or stupid. I was thinking about the seat versus range thing too. My trusty 767-200ER can do a longer leg with less seats leading to higher profitability. I'm just wondering how maintenance costs are affected between the two.

Just be careful as some Excel/Word/PowerPoint functionality won't carry over to Numbers/Pages/Keynote and vice-versa.

I am really disappointed in my profits flying into SYD, I am probably going to pull the route before the end of the month, just getting payback a little bit on my gate investment before I do that.

I've got terminals built at all of my hubs.
