1) The economies of scale on building terminals can really lower the cost per gate.

3) I fully intend to use all of the gates I have.

Yeah, SYD legs are horrible. As are JNB.

It's not necessarily artificial. Since the airline is paying to have that terminal constructed, it should rightfully boost the value of the airline since the terminal is an asset. I built terminals at all three hubs in 1.0, but as it turns out I overbuilt them...it's easier and cheaper to underbuild and expand.

How much is iWork? Does it play nice w/ MS Office docs?

The single-use is $49 installed on new purchases.

I bought the family pack, which I think was $99. It plays nice with every MS Office doc I've ever needed it to, the only quirk is some of the tables stuff in Word does not always display correctly.

Also, Macros in Excel are not the most reliable when opened using Pages.

I don't run macros when I do my spreadsheets, and I very rarely insert tables into Word docs...more bonus points for me.

so I just built one at PHL so I didn't have to keep paying rents on 14 gates....and it still requires me to rent 7 gates, is this correct? Or can I shift from rented to my owned gates?

Like I said, if people intend to use the gates then it's a good investment, if someone is not going to use all of the gates then the money should go to more planes.

I probably built too big of a terminal at DUB since its demand is not as high as I had hoped.

Noted. If any of my saved PowerPoints that I've either created or downloaded start to go , I'll look for what is pissing Keynote off and attempt to fix it.

Just return all of them. That is unless your routes exceed the amount purchased gates at which point you will still have to rent.

No. Once you build a terminal, all your flights migrate automatically. You still, IIRC, have to manually return your rented gates.

JNB just sucks. I have a 762ER doing SYD-SFO-ATL, and the profit is average among my 762ER's, which translates in the long term to sucky profit because that not-so-bad number is achieved using many more flight hours.

It's artificial if the gates are not being used. If a built gate goes unused it should not be valued as high as a gate being used. Now, if they gave you the option to rent gates out then that would be cool.

that would be a nice feature(and realistic) then you could overbuild with expectations to expand, and lease them out at cut rate for short term.

The disconnect Comcast box overnight approach actually worked! Either they were having problems with certain channels yesterday or the box was seriously .

Fair point, but at the time in my case, I had no idea that I wouldn't fill the number of gates I was building. If the game allowed users to sub-rent gates, it would be cool in that diabolical sort of way. Rent to the enemy and then close the hub...talk about screw your neighbor.

that happens in reality as well, however the original owner is still stuck with the long term lease/contract normally, CO is in that same state in DEN and I tink maybe LAX has some gates as well...
