I won't weigh in on this since, like we discussed on Saturday, 'I don't have a passport' Let the flames begin!

They are saying that the plane left GIG at ~7pm CDG time. At around 04:15am CDG time, the mechanical failure messages were sent. Wouldn't that mean the plane was much closer to CDG than GIG?

That sounds like the middle of the Atlantic ocean to me. By the times they are releasing, the flight should have been near Cape Verde. |

I thought the plane left at 7 GIG time , which is midnight in CDG, so 415 am CDG time would still be closer to GIG.
I watched the video here: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle6407081.ece and it said 7pm CDG time. But the translation could be off. |

When was the last cruise flight crash not related to terrorism? |

I was thinking the same thing and have heard reports of it being all over the place. It's surprising that there is so much confusion over the location of the plane (even if it is approximate).
