Row 8 as long as you don't mind people staring at you when they board.
(When traveling with TheCanuck I'm used to people staring at me. Although it's usually more along the lines of them wondering: "... is she blind?") |

Thanks. A friend suggested I look at HISD for a teacher position.
ETA: HISD is having some interview days...I believe they start VERY soon (check out the HISD Jobs website for more information). There are also Region IV and the Gulf Coast Teacher Job Fairs fast approaching...in two weeks, I believe. Also, Spring ISD is hosting an invitation only job fair that I think is on the 13th--if you apply now, you might get an invite (although I can't seem to find the information for the invite-only fair on their website). |
Good night box.. survived my first day in Paris.
EWR C PC = nutella and hot cocoa. That made my day - and for future reference, video/movie choices and meals for a May 31st departure EWR-CDG in BF were all June selections. I had the pasta stuffed with potato and truffles, twas pretty good. Lobster bisque is actually good, better then the lentil soup from domestic F. 10am local time tomorrow i begin a very long day of getting to know the metro, bus lines, and various classroom locations i need to attend throughout my trip. It ends with a picnic lunch on the riverbank and a private boat cruise/tour. Oh, had a lovely dinner at a restaurant called Marco Polo in the 13th. Italian/pizza place and the quatre formage pizza was tres delicious. I dont know what four cheeses i ate, but they were delicious and some even still had the rind on - something i rarely get to appreciate. |
Eveninig, Box.
Huge thank you's to Fozz and Olton Hall for the NJ Mini-Do on Saturday. Thanks, Fozz for organizing it, and thanks Olton for a great Pre-Game cocktail hour or two (!). It was great to put names to faces and actually have live conversations with other FTers. Thanks also to Babu and his good lady wife for offering up their home for after-dinner desserts. Sorry I couldn't make it there, but the Shogun event went on much later than anticipated and I had to skeedaddle off home to relieve Mr. Brit from the torment of being in charge of a sleepover for 7yr old girls .... :D:D It's been a lovely day in the neighborhood today! Sun is shining, birds are singing, my builder seems to be coming round to my way of thinking ..... that is, he's dropping the price on my building project and so we might finally start in the next couple of weeks - yeah! He did  at me, though, when I said I wanted to be in for Thanksgiving and said, yeah, OK 2010........ |
Side note after browsing the forums a bit..
The local news was reporting "no hope" for the AF flight that was lost - not the "very unlikely" or "little hope" of survivors that the US news is reporting as the statement. Just an interesting tidbit on cultural differences. |

The FL business class on the 737 isn't bad, really. I flew in that cabin SAN - ATL and was a little more comfortable than the DL 757 I usually get on that leg, purely because it was a new jet with a newer seat. I didn't mind at all and the price was certainly right.

Assuming that the flights and the gogo were paid for (as I am betting they are - this seems like quite a PR stunt) and I had someone in a couple cities meeting me with fresh batteries on a regular basis (no power on their planes, right??), I would absolutely have done that trip. Doesn't seem so bad. :D

Being lazy today I order Chinese for dinner. I'm concerned about the fortune cookie. It said “:) You and your wife will be happy in your life together.:) “ I have a couple of questions. Who is she? And when did the wedding take place?

Or you can also try the restaurant, but you may not like their answer. Haha.... |

Did you mean 22 (the reclining exit row)? If so, I'd defintely go with 22 as getting bumped during boarding and having people stand in front of you while they wait to use the lav gets old quick. If you really meant 23, then I'd stick to 8 for the legroom.
