"Closed for renovations until the end of August" means "have a backup plan". My most recent conference had to be moved because the original hotel got behind in permitting and hadn't re-opened ...

I like Wynnewood. Actually, all of the Main Line is a nice place to live (on the Montco side). We're considering moving to the Main Line if we happen to move back to the Philly area. Agreed w/ the parking in CC. I used to take the 44 bus into the city. What really gets to me is that in a lot of cities - NYC and Houston for example - street parking is free on Sundays. Not in CC. Unless that's changed since I moved away from Philly (back in September). Taxadelphia definitely has a reputation.

I thought parking was free on Sundays, but I haven't driven into Center City on a Sunday in some time. And you didn't even mention the wage tax...

FYI, the transfer from ORD to MDW is a PITA.

This is what I get for leaving a thought uncompleted -- UA, AA, and US match WN's fares CHI-PHL. No reason to transfer unless one really enjoys the Interstate.

I did not check out the "Special Conditions" section yet

Looking out for y'all, even though taking that itinerary would violate my "maximum segment time in Y" rule.

Hmmm... this does sound good. I wonder if it would be possible for you to cancel the reservation you made for me for July 3 at IAH and get the points back? Then we could work out a deal for the cash portion. Dont do it yet but Im wondering if it would work?

Does that hotel offer free transportation to/from airport?

As CO elites we can book Elite DL seats correct?

Looking at IAH-ATL-BCN-ATL-IAH. We need to be back before 1/4 because my wife has work and that seems to bump up the fare... :(

Yes - I was able to put us both in exit rows when purchasing.

Tell her to call out sick! :)

Im looking at hotels now and the ZRH Airport Hilton is pricey enough that I would use points. Now onto look at alternatives. Does anyone have suggestions?

I thought you wanted to rid yourself of your HH points.

I do, unfortunately everywhere I go they have a property that is 3/4 the price of a SPG.

Oh, more news. I found out that what I thought was a local explosives tech job is not in fact an explosives job, but another field in which working with explosives gave me some pretty solid experience as well. It would be doing warehousing and inventory for a certain Air Force base's spare parts stock. In addition to building bombs, missiles, etc. and working with base defense items and small arms, that job does wonders at teaching storage, organization, and floor management. My resume is supposedly being delivered to the warehouse manager tomorrow, and the job includes 2-3 TATL's per year.

They can't. It's an inservice day and the districts are fairly strict on their policies.

DL decided to get price competitive on my flight to LAS as well - now, I have to buy the DL ticket and move the AAward. Sadly, changing the date of the AAward (for free) would guarantee another trip to LAS

so what would happen of the other job if you were to get this, continue it on the side?
