Whatever they thought, it saved me a 20-minute wait for the elevators.

I could have foo-foo'd my admission in advance, but I wanted to see how a "normal" civilian would fare.
Which seems to be rather well, if you have a SPG corporate Preferred card - LOL.

Good grief! If they're that daft, just imagine what you might have scored if you'd tried to blag your way in with an Air Astana Gold card... Free bottle service, no doubt.

:D

ALCO - Is the Four Season's on the Hong Kong side or Kowloon ?

Dunno, but if possible try to find a few minutes to use the loo at the bar atop the Peninsula. It is worth it.

Also, the new fares tool now has ITA integration with a setting of 0-3 nights as the default. It only works for FaresT right now; I can probably integrate it with FaresP, too, I suppose.

Hong Kong side. Less than a 5min walk from the main Star Ferry terminal.

CO 1E Aug 6, 2009 5:51 pm

I think he means the Four Seasons SIN, near the Ritz and the Singapore Flyer.

Had to switch rooms at the Hyatt Place - someone in an adjacent room decided to light up (and not tobacco).

Go knock on their door and ask to join...:p

No worries. I often have no idea what I am talking about. :D

Yes. That's because I'm retarded.

A fleet of quasi-models just walked in.

I have come to enjoy :-:. It is the I Ching of emoticons. You can project what you want onto it. :-:

So, it's 8:00, and the line for the bar has shrunk to near 0.

I also have noticed that the hotel security staff are basically weak importers of Second Serv agents.

Both I guess. In Dallas and NY it's called Craft and in Vegas Craftsteak. I don't eat steak, so I'm hardly the expert; but judging by the people I've been with (Plus1 in NY and a bunch of die hard steakies in Vegas), they loved it. I loved whatever I had but couldn't tell you what; other than it was probably seafood.

LOL. I think guys may take a different approach than girls in such scenarios. My coping mechanism has been blowing through a stash of miles on things like A310 rides, and using up my $100 Spec's Liquor Store Gift Card on high-octane Belgian Beer.

ETA - With any luck, I can get enough Aerogeekery/Crazy-Travel-Planning done in the near future to allow sufficient time for a second mid-life crisis at the usual time (late 30s).

:D That sounds about right!

I just talked to one of the guards, who informed me that I can reserve tables here. Interesting.
