I went to the doctor today and I now know why I have been feeling so craptacular. I have nasty upper respiratory infection. The doctor said if I had waited another day I would need to be hospitalized . I am on a nice cocktail of medications and cough syrup that make me want to vomit when I ingest it. @:-)

That sucks dood. Hope you get to feeling better on the meds.

I was speaking more in terms of overall demand of PDX - FRA. I'm relatively ignorant when it comes to all things PDX, but I can't imagine there's that many businesses that would command utilization of those flights.

Beer tasting trips?

:p

My fiancee has a Delsey bag and I always tease her about the chrome wheels and ask why she didn't splurge for the spinners. :D

Exactly one week. Ordered on the 6th, received earlier this afternoon.

That's fantastic. I really need to get on board with that.

Nice pictures!! How did you like 71 Nyhavn? I almost stayed there on my visit but opted (not so brightly) for the Scandic.

I drive an F-150 personally and enjoy it. Lots of room. I had one reserved at the DO IV but got purposely upgraded to the van to haul everyone around. I normally rent Premium sized cars since I don't exactly fit in a G6, so a truck is a great solution if/when I can find them.

I used to have a F-250 Super Duty with an extended cab and I loved it. That thing hauled a$$. Very powerful truck. It used to make the weekend trips to the home depot and lowes a breeze.

739 or 762 between EWR and IAH on an M fare (guaranteed EUA)?

Here's the kicker, the connection and timing of the 739 is significantly more convenient.

Oh, let me throw another wrinkle into this - or fly EWR - SFO on the late night flight (also on an M)? My final destination is SMF, so I'm not too keen on arriving at SFO at 1am and then driving 90 minutes... But it is non-stop. And in F.

Just to avoid arriving at 1am and to save the 90 mi drive, I would take the 767 or the 739 to IAH and connect there.

Thanks!

The review of the 71 Nyhavn is tomorrow's post (already written and just waiting to go live). The short version is that it was obscenely hot the week we were there and there was no ventilation in the room. Once we got a fan from the front desk it was much better. The location was top notch as was the design aesthetic. And if you're not in the middle of a heat wave the climate is probably OK too.

Cool. Looking forward to it.

Just read your hot dog post. :D Does not look like you and I had the same experience in CPH. The dogs I got were more like a french roll with the top ripped off, a hot dog sticking out one side and some mayo (or similar topping) squirted in. They were relatively simple. I still make them today with Hebrew Nationals and french bread. I'm going to try to insert an image I found on the web but it might not work. Sorry about your CPH dog!

Editing: I am an image posting failure. Need to go work on that...
