Wow. Glad the fire was not actually a fire and everyone is ok. I can't imagine how fast my heart would be beating.

Did we want to do a Mini-DO this week? I'm not sure how available I am but Scott6067 said he was interested.

^ for a Mini-DO. I have wine club tomorrow night but any other night is good.

I had been in one previous actual hotel fire (small) and had to go down about 15 flights (and one in high school at a dorm and about 12 flights) but somehow having a child with me upped the :eek: level.

Nothing -- but KE seems to be the only airline I know of who can rival AF in terms of "reliability".

I too will be in the Houston area next week, even staying at the IAH Marriott on Wednesday evening. I'm hoping to catch the retro bird while there.

While I personally am not a huge fan of KE given their incidents in the late 90s, i've heard they have fixed their act after almost having their operating cert revoked by the US.
