They have B available for IAH-DME one-way at about $770 IIRC. What is the one-way upgrade cost to C on that route with SQ miles? $770 + miles would be worth it for the new SQ C on a flight of that length, IMO.

It is some  number like 50K (im not even sure they discount like they do on regular redemptions)
I have never used SQ miles to upgrade for this reason.
55K is one way F JFK-FRA (46K with 15K online discount and 41K with current 25% discount)

I'll need to go to the SPG forum - not finding it on website.

And I've lost another 1.4 pounds since yesterday - I'm now officially closer to "normal weight" than "obese".

Thanks - I had found the promo and already planned how to use my Starpoints - except for Hyatt, I tend to use points at the lowest tier while on road trips.

Yes ma'am. They sent out an "apologetic" letter to all the parents explaining why this was necessary. (Remember, it's a fancy boarding school in NJ - they make no pretenses about conforming to the real world!)

My friends who had lived in Baton Rouge longer than I had told me that there was about an 18-month "honeymoon" when a new one opened before it became a den of . I believed that when we got a "Neighborhood Market" right near LSU - all the way through the time I moved it was quite lovely.

Meh. I'll just sit in the back on a W fare with some Whisky and Xanax, then.

If I end up booking the IAH-DME, it will be on Thursday 01/21/10, and I'll let you know (in case you want to start the Rolle Yes 2010 Invitational festivities on the way over to PRG).

A-MA-ZING. :D ...I mean, when I arrived in BTR fresh out of the Ivy League bubble, I was honestly a bit surprised at the fact that not EVERYONE in town a) had a southern accent and b) was of actual Cajun descent (you find a much higher concentration of those in the southwest part of the state, around LFT).

I mean, particularly in the School of Music, LSU was often referred to as "UT-East"...

I was there not too long ago and was taken aback by the way it had aged.

When I first started flying for business in the late seventies, it was a place of true wonder, a flagship Ionosphere Club. All it took was a first visit to get me to sign up and I would guess that I used it almost every week for years.

Nowadays, since it is so far outside of security, it has become almost irrelevant and I guess that CO does not pay much attention to it any longer.

My soon-to-be ex-wife is of true Acadian Cajun descent. I don't know if she is representative of the type (hell, who am I kidding, I've been to Crawfish Boils in Breaux Bridge... of course she is)... it is a pernicious form of  best avoided.
