A-MA-ZING. :D ...I mean, when I arrived in BTR fresh out of the Ivy League bubble, I was honestly a bit surprised at the fact that not EVERYONE in town a) had a southern accent and b) was of actual Cajun descent (you find a much higher concentration of those in the southwest part of the state, around LFT).

I mean, particularly in the School of Music, LSU was often referred to as "UT-East"...

I was there not too long ago and was taken aback by the way it had aged.

When I first started flying for business in the late seventies, it was a place of true wonder, a flagship Ionosphere Club. All it took was a first visit to get me to sign up and I would guess that I used it almost every week for years.

Nowadays, since it is so far outside of security, it has become almost irrelevant and I guess that CO does not pay much attention to it any longer.

My soon-to-be ex-wife is of true Acadian Cajun descent. I don't know if she is representative of the type (hell, who am I kidding, I've been to Crawfish Boils in Breaux Bridge... of course she is)... it is a pernicious form of :rolleyes: best avoided.
