Good morning Box.
I get to do EWR-DEL tonight in Y...
Got the Exit Row. Thanks to FTers who pointed out earlier that I was not seated in the Bulkhead. Switched to exit row. Lets hope it goes well!

BTW, anyone in EWR PC (term C) this evening after 5PM? Tried to request in the PC meetings club. But there were no takers. If anyone can guest me in, will be so cool. I can meet an FT-er for the first time.

Ok, everyone have a great day.

I gotta pack and then go to work.

Eww. Not only is MCO a yucky airport all by itself, but it's also full of young children who like to scream, yell, cry, etc...

And btw, that Disney ad on the sidebar that has the floating ballon.. I thought the balloon was a roach on my computer screen for a second. Had a minor conniption.

I interviewed with a company that is an off-shoot of the founders of 6 Sigma and does training or something. I didn't want the job.

It is awesome! ^^

The file is 1.6GB. The website is reporting 39 minutes left, I wonder how they calc that?

The same way MS calculates copy speeds. Badly.

Big noticeable gratuitous public thank you. Moneyball was a spectacular read.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I agree that it is strange that others aren't moving in that direction, but it is spreading (very) slowly. It is hard to turn quickly when the body in question is a ridiculously large organization such as baseball. There are thousands of people from the majors down to random scouts in LatAm that have to change their thought processes, and that just doesn't happen.

G'morning Box.

Morning, Box. I foresee a nap in my future...

I saw a stat on the stupid elevator TV yesterday that said 37% of adults nap daily. I want to know why I don't get that siesta time.

For real. When I was working, I never got one. I suppose there is some silver lining to being unemployed.

Software development can be just as , what with their eXtreme programming and scrumm nonsense.:-:

I can't in my right mind back an organization that looks the other way while being faced with practically bulletproof evidence of their own ineptitude.

I' need a bed, or at least a couch. :-: I can't sleep in a chair (and now you know how extra awful my ULH flights are). I can't even sleep in a lazy boy chair reclined all the way.

I used to work with a gal who, every day at 2, would shut her office door, hang a "do not disturb" sign on it, and would nap for 30 minutes on a little couch she had in her office.

If she was supposed to be in a meeting or something, she'd just get up and walk out and return 30 minutes later like nothing happened. Everyone just accepted it and went on with their day.

Apparently she was really good at what she did and she got her work done, so management tolerated it.

Needless to say, that company went out of business. Although in retrospect that might have more to do with the fact that we had one of the world's largest wine distributors, plus a brewery as clients, and we had dozens upon dozens of refrigerators full of free alcohol available to us at any time*.

(I worked on the financial services account .)

Morning box. I'm gonna eat me a lot of peaches. :-:

*Actually, that had nothing to do with it. But it's amusing.

Oy. Never good.

I got one of those around 2am on Monday. Apparently a patient attacked one of my EMS crews and they needed an agency officer to respond. Member was fine, but it was a mountain of paperwork.

Hope everything works out.
