Thanks - Cheekwood is very cool - it was owned by the family who made Maxwell House Coffee, sold to Postum (General Mills pre-cursor), and immediately invested all of the $40 million in early 20th century dollars in IBM. The house has been turned into a museum, with Faberge eggs, the portraits Warhol and Wyeth did of each other, and carvings by William Edmondson. Very cool, and I used the free admission through the Bank of America program (first full weekend each month).

Looks beautiful! I've never been to Nashville, and not likely to just randomly visit (unless maybe there's a FT event or something!) Good for you for taking advantage of the BofA program -- that's great! Even penny saved -- counts!! ^ I can really appreciate the opportunity to save wherever possible, because there's times when you just have to spend the money, if there's no choice in the matter, eh?!

Ok, one more question - is there any way to find out ahead of time what runway/direction a flight will be using? (I'm still sorting through the links you provided so if it is there, my apologies!). I looked at Flightaware and similar websites but did not see that specific information. Since they seem to lag a bit real time, once the heading does show up, it's usually too late.

The planes are pretty low over my house and if I have friends/family arriving I sometimes go out to see if I can see their plane (and take the appropriate photo). So maybe I am a mini-nerd..

Still above Pepsi in my world.

We went to Plus1's reunion at the Hyatt. I ordered him a Coke and the bartender gave me the "We're a Pepsi hotel so we can only serve Pepsi" but then pulled out a rogue Coke can and stealthly poured it for him. Plus1 was very greatful because he says no to the P product.

Go to hungrygirl.com (it's not just for girls, I promise!) and sign up for their newsletter. They also have awesome recipes (I've done their swap with laughing cow light to make alfredo sauce and it is fabulous!) and good tips on new foods, taste tests, etc. as well as some good coupons.

Also, although single servings are more expensive, still better than tempting yourself with the entire bag. I'm addicted to popchips and while these are better than regular chips, I could eat a bag at one sitting.

I know I'm sick because the thought of a drink right now . . . :(

I hope you feel better! :) I just signed up for hungrygirl.com -- thanks for the tip! ^ Cool!

I've proposed a BNA Do in the past. It involved country music, drinking, partying, target shooting, and other events (in no particular order). Nashville is a pretty cool city.

Yes, sometimes it's better to keep one's mouth shut.

Not only will I not drink a Pepsi product, I won't purchase one. Our agency is a Pepsi agency - if I take a job candidate to lunch and that person orders a Coke, I don't get reimbursed. Add in the fact that I'm a Berkshire Hathaway shareholder, and I can be quite stubborn.

They have a recipe book out right now - I believe it's called 200 under 200. I've saved the recipes I really want to do and passed some others on to my mom. They have a jalepeno popper one I really want to try. They also do comparisons between 2 brands that have the same basic thing (I.E. Fiber One Toaster Pastry vs. Pop Tart's new fiber enriched ones).

One of the best lines ever from the former HR director/co-founder of my Dad's company when denied while ordering a Coke at a company hosted event in Martha's Vineyard:
"We never would have chosen this facility had we known they were a Pepsi shop!"

I got so wrapped up in my coding this evening that I forgot to leave work 7 minutes ago.

On the plus side, another fares option for the tool is done, and I've got my currency conversions working much better, except that for some reason Yahoo finance doesn't understand how to convert between Rubles and Euros. The numbers are just plain wrong. I think I'm going to have to find an alternate source for just that one.

I thought Tatum handled it well when she said "That pretty much sums up our relationship in a nutshell".

Like AA, some NW aircraft are still dual-catered. If I order a Coke and the FA says "Is Pepsi OK?", my response is "I'll take another Woodford instead."

Runway direction is determined primarily by WX, specifically wind direction. Most of the year, the wind is from the south and since takeoffs are generally done into the wind, 17R/L are in use. You can listen to KAUS ATC (IFR Clearance, Ground, Tower, and Approach/Departure) at www.liveatc.net to see what runway is in operation at any given time.

Fortunately, in Texas, there is the Dr. Pepper back up (since Plus1 doesn't drink Woodford ;) )
