I like the top brands for one main reason, the beds are a step above, and I can sleep on them. I can't even sleep in the cheap hotel bedding and mattresses. It isn't even a cleanliness factor like same have, it is just a comfort factors, springs in my back = no sleep. I don't sleep a lot but when I rest my head for 3-4 hours I need to be able to REST.

Where ever you decide to stay, just remember about the bridges. Every area has a major bridge and the toll is now $5.00 (only charged one way). Traffice from SFO to Silicon Valley, down 101S, is nasty in the morning and nasty in the early evenings. Actually traffic is bad everywhere in the mornings. The whole world seems to not live in the area in which they work.

If you do stay at the W in Newark, Sun MicroSystems is just off the Dumbarton Bridge, in case you know someone that works there.

What PDX is only a two hour drive from SEA???? OH YAAAAAHHHHHHH This is opposed to 12 hr drives each day for the past two days.

ahhh to be back in highschool and college..... I just broke up a high school graduation party of 17-20 year olds. The look on their faces were priceless when I walked up. As I walk up most of the kids are in the front of the house smoking. I had to tell them to keep it down. THen as I made my way to the back of the house kids are running out the back door jumping off the deck. THe kids were amazed when I told them to just keep the noise down and if your drinking .... do not drive!

It's an easy drive, as long as there is no traffic.

We did drove PDX-SEA in the middle of the night and got stuck on the drawbridge on I-5 for nearly an hour. :td:
