Good times. There doesn't seem to be much more elsewhere online about it. Even the TS/S forum didn't have it yet this morning. Cnn.com had a blurb saying that the terminal was evacuated but that they didn't know anything else.

NY cops are useless. They are being smartasses and not telling us anything. A paparazzi has a police scanner and is listening in. They found they suspect with the bomb and are talking to him. More details to come

From The Associated Press:

NEW YORK — Authorities say a main terminal of LaGuardia Airport in New York City has been evacuated and a police bomb squad has arrested a man and is searching his bag.

John Kelly, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, say the airport's central terminal building was evacuated shortly after 5:30 a.m. Saturday. He didn't know how many passengers were there at the time or what airlines are served at the building.

Kelly says one man is in custody. He says Port Authority and the city police department's bomb squad are investigating the man's bag.

A bag with wires and batteries. Yeah, that's definitely a bomb.

He he -- last night I went to The Fort for dinner. It was excellent, as it was the last time I was there. Somehow, though, nobody got up enough gumption to try the Rocky Mountain Oysters. They are described on the menu as, "Buffalo bites."

Now I guess it's time to get up and get back to the customer's site. Ahh -- the joys of the maintenance window

Just another idiot at the airport...

...The terminal was evacuated at around 5:30 a.m. Saturday after the man approached security in the airport's C concourse, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman John Kelly said.

It wasn't clear if the man made a threat, but security officials said he “was just acting crazy,” Kelly said. The man's name was not released.

The device in the man's bag was a few batteries and wires, but was not dangerous, police said....

I like the top brands for one main reason, the beds are a step above, and I can sleep on them. I can't even sleep in the cheap hotel bedding and mattresses. It isn't even a cleanliness factor like same have, it is just a comfort factors, springs in my back = no sleep. I don't sleep a lot but when I rest my head for 3-4 hours I need to be able to REST.

I can sleep well in the beds of any of the Hilton chain hotels, but some are better than others. Hampton Inn, though, has definitely come a long way in the last couple of years. Still, the one I was at the other night was nowhere near as nice as the Doubletree ($40 less/night!) I moved to. One of the few good things about the Hampton I escaped was the bed.

Hampton uses Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress (remember the counting sheep commericials) I can't sleep in DT's. I toss and turn all night long.

The Don Shula resort in Miami Lakes also has nice nice beds, something I wasn't quite expecting :D

The DT mattress is quite nice. It's also a Serta, but the label doesn't list the model :p The HI I escaped had s:rolleyes: much chlorine in its hot tub that my eyes burned even when just my feet were in it. :td:
