I stayed at the 4P PHL for the Central NJ Mini Do - I didn't find it to be ghetto at all (even with the hotel losing my reservation made online).

I had a very worn room and smelly, no light bulbs in some of the lamps, broken remote, leaking shower, people screaming and running through the halls for a good portion of the night. When I went to the front desk all they did was  at me. :-:

I simply stay away from 4P now. I like Westin's and W's much better. ;)

How long ago was your stay? Were you on the SPG floor? Steph3n was also in the 4P PHL Airport and I didn't hear any complaints.

I didn't find the 4P PHL terrible either, it was nothing spectacular but it was a nice room to sleep and was quiet. I understand however there was a fire alarm just before I got back one night, or just after I left, don't remember.

They have an SPG floor that was maybe more quiet than the rest? I don't know for sure there. I did have an attempted holdup on parking fees (thinking I was doing park and fly and charged an insane rate!), but they quickly reversed it, I explained that I have a rental, and why would I want to pay for parking a rental car, when I am not returning to PHL for a loooong time(not in my plans at all)

The alarm was before we got back - I heard all about it in the boarding area at PHL ;)

 I heard my new headphones, I bought some nice in ear set at the PHL airport so I could stop hearing all the whiners. Someone didn't like that I went to the front of the TSA line, when there were only maybe 6 people in line, then people gripe about the Q200 that pulled up to the gate, it was loud music time then. Oh and when only I boarded initially, later the other passengers in the exit row asked the FA if he was going to ask ME the safety questions...(I had headphones off then, why?)

icurhere2 Jul 31, 2009 7:13 pm

I was using one of the free headsets I got in F, so this whiner was pretty loud.

White shorts, dinged up leg, grey new-balances. I would agree.

We took that about ten years ago when the service was first introduced and it was a very interesting trip. Do go for it.

One of the things that I also remember from that trip was that on the return it was the only time that I ever failed the upgrades on NW on both segments of one trip (SEA-MSP-LGA).

Adjacent to the ones from DL - I carry multiples in the bag for when the set in use simply stops functioning in one ear.
