Thanks. ^ I just finished it. For anyone who cares to try

I know the home field, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8. Remember, The Eagles (The Band) are just above anything with Stevie Nicks in my "must be avoided" list.

Looks like I will be going to EWR for happy hour

My mother wants me to pick up her friend who was due to arrive about 2p, she is now arriving about 7p

Unless there was a NW complication, I never had any trouble changing seats on delta.com. But if there are NW flight numbers or NW metal involved, then you need to use nwa.com.

There were no NW flight numbers or flights involved; it was an all-DL metal ticket purchased on delta.com. It just took forever for the seat maps to load for each of the four segments (and, no, my internet connection was not the problem).

I just registered for my invite; perhaps there's still a number that spells my last name. Of course, my family would likely still be unable to remember the number .

The lead question needs to be answered in its entirety for the rest of the correct answers to count for score under the format we do this event in.

Cat just launched another hairball, this time accompanied by some sort of greenish-brown liquid.

Unfortunately, my first and last names (both fairly common) were not available. My email address contains sdm1130, so I figured this was the next closest identifier.

Question for the box. Should I send a cover letter/resume to someone at the end of the day or do it so they see the e-mail in the morning? I'm just wondering if I sent something now it would get lost and forgotten in the hecticness of the end of the day compared to the expected going through everthing first thing in the morning.

Tomorow!

Unless a decision is very imminent, I can affirm that new projects that come in within an hour of quitting time rarely get acted upon - may be better to send in the morning (can get lost in the shuffle if opened on the Blackberry in the evening).

Agree 100%

My first name is the most common; last name is an Americanized modification of a Yorkshire surname (no joke) that's not very common.

When the cats cough up a hairball, I let Mrs. photog72 clean it up, even if she is not home. They are her cats. I don't like, nor want the cats here. However, they are old. One is almost 16, the other is 11. Once they've passed... no more cats. Perhaps a dog, but that is up to my boss, photog72 jr.

It's already taken care of...I fought off my intense desire to take a picture of it.

America's most common baby name from 1980-1998. My middle name in combination with my first name also creates the bookends of the Romanov Dynasty.

Can someone please tell me why companies insist on outsourcing their customer service to India?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! I have just spent hours trying to get my gas service disconnected at the house we want to demolish. I do speak English. Really. I know I do. Don't I????? But obviously, it would appear not, as the Indian person I was speaking too thought I was speaking Double Dutch because he didn't seem to be able to understand: "no, I need you to put in an order for a service disconnect, not a gas meter reading. I need the pipes capping in the street, not at the meter. He simply kept repeating "yes, Ma'am, we will be out to read your meter on August 6th. Have I answered your question satisfactorily, Ma'am"... It didn't matter how many ways I asked him to put in a service order to disconnect and remove the gas pipes to the building, he still thought i was asking for a meter reading.:rolleyes:

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! In the end, I asked to speak to his Supervisor and he switched me back to someone in the US who sorted it out in a jiffy. It's still going to take 6 weeks for them to come out and do it though. Bugger. That's put my schedule behind. Won't be in the house for Christmas now. :(

edited: By the way, I have nothing against India or Indians. I love India. I spent many months there backpacking and loved it. I also have lots of very nice Indian friends. So, I'm not complaining about the Indian culture or people, just the fact that if companies are going to outsource to another country, make sure the staff are fully trained and know what they are doing, instead of letting them just read from a script. Sigh! Rant over.
