I am supposed to be flying out of EWR. 20 minutes ago the weather turned quite  The thunder is unbelieveably loud. I can hardly see the aircraft at C123 from the C3 PC.

Get comfy...

I do like the European routing for EZE; would you spend time there or just do it for the flights?

The pricing is definitely a good deal for what we are getting; it is just the actual cash outlay of up to $3,000 that I would like to minimize given the other personal trips I have to take before the end of the year.

I could go either way on the EWR/JFK events. It seems like, in theory, at least, this will not be a once-in-a-lifetime-type event, so I am not concerned if I miss those by taking a non-charter TATL. The highlight for me would be the events in Europe.

I would definitely spend a couple of days in EZE since I've never been there. I guess we'll see.

Can barely see across the river downtown right now, and can't see the Statue of Liberty at all. It is nasty out there.

I was just on the phone with the elite desk confirming that EK confirmed our reward seats to MRU & CPT:

Agent: Wow, everything looks good. You would like to ticket these?

MBM3: Yes, please do so.

Agent: Well, taxes will be $86 and Mrs. MBM3 will have a reservations center fee...

MBM3: A reservation center fee for a reward ticket that can not be booked online?

Agent: Yes, Mr. MBM3, I must charge the fee. Yours is waived as a Platinum.

MBM3: May I please speak to your supervisor?

Agent: Certainly.

Agent: I have customer service on the line. They will assist you with these records from here.

MBM3: Thank you (wondering how my request for a supervisor ended up customer support)

Agent2: Hello Mr. MBM3

MBM3: Hello

DEAD AIR

MBM3: Hello? Hello? Hello?

DEAD AIR

Agent: Sorry Mr. MBM3, I stayed on the line and it seems she dropped off. Let me try again.

MBM3: Okay thank you.

Agent2: Sorry about that Mr. MBM3

MBM3: That's okay

DEAD AIR

MBM3: Hello? Hello? Hello? Unbelievable

I mean seriously, why does it need to be so hard?

My head is spinning from all this travel theorizing.

I'm glad I'm not flying around the NE this week.

I think I've settled on the Acer Aspire One AOD150 (10.1" with 6 cell battery) as my netbook. This would make my desktop, flatscreen, and netbook all from the same company. Giving myself a couple more days to ponder the purchase but know that after multiple discounts, I can have it on my doorstep for $290 shipped (no sales tax).

I generally am happy with my Aspire One.

I thought so as well - still an added expense to my personal budget after many years of carrying one (and sometimes two) "desktop-replacement" work-issued laptops.

Question for the box. Should I send a cover letter/resume to someone at the end of the day or do it so they see the e-mail in the morning? I'm just wondering if I sent something now it would get lost and forgotten in the hecticness of the end of the day compared to the expected going through everthing first thing in the morning.
