Reward Travel Question
If I make a reward reservation EWR-HKG in business am I able to change from business class to economy without a redeposit fee?

It was with great pleasure this afternoon that I made my way into the IAH KL Crown Lounge. The lounge dragon thought it necessary to inform me that the CO/KL alliance would be terminating in October (in a rather condescending tone). I was pleased to let her know that this would not deter me in the least from enjoying their food and Bombay Sapphire today. I'm now more than a little tipsy, awaiting an onward flight to SCL. |

I absolutely hate that US has low last-minute fares to the whole NC area. I could fly to GSO/RDU/CLT for my work next week, but had to pick US on the way there because they're so much cheaper. For the return, I was able to get RDU-MEM-MSY (NW) and MSY-IAH on CO, so there will be some sanity. Overall, it worked out to be $450 cheaper than on CO. Sure, it would have been non-stop, but 450 is over my limit for a direct flight. I could have saved $500 and gone US the whole way, but avoid them as much as possible
