The horror - isn't it practically unheard of for a PE to not clear two upgrades in a row?

How long ago was your stay? Were you on the SPG floor? Steph3n was also in the 4P PHL Airport and I didn't hear any complaints.

2-3 years ago. It was a 1 night stay part of a 3 night multi-hop. Sheraton Suites PHL then to 4P PHL and back to Sheraton Suites PHL

Yes, practically unheard of in those days. Nowadays, the only platinum status that assures you of nearly 100% upgrades is on Delta and then only if you are fairly judicious about choosing the flights that you take into or out of ATL.

As a silver, I missed on two flights involving ATL (same day, one a 752) and one MEM-DTW (another 752). Two flights on 752s was completely my fault.

That thread wasn't in teh Box?

Gee, that explains why you all didn't pile on with your theories on what happened to the dude's briefcase. I would have thought that "combusted" would have been just the beginning.

It also explains why baglady gave me grief for the post. :D

If you need a movie with a good dose of creative and childish American, Scottish, and English swearing I recommend In The Loop which is based on BBC 4's The Thick Of It. It's an indy film that's in a few theatres but is also On Demand on the IFC in the theatre channel. You know classic stuff like "lubricated horse " and James Gandolfini telling one guy w/ curly hair to " off Frodo"

Since were talking about Delta. Do they offer day of departure upgrades?

What is the Acura Experience like? :D

No, I just wanted to be part of it :p

I believe the Acura Experience is just a ride in an MDX to a location within 5-10 miles of the W you are staying at. They give you a little sales pitch while driving and they will only drop off, not pick up.

Need more detail:

EUA / battlefield for elites (domestic): yes
SWU or international for elites: no
Buy-ups: domestic but not international (OpUps happen)

 Then why do you have to be 25 and show valid drivers license? oh well.
