Being that I'm in Fianceeland, I am condemned to watching Philly local news.

Musikfest out in Bethlehem, PA is being sponsored by my least favorite TV station and their uber-retardo music...and the weather guy is there, signing autographs. Another talking head said repeatedly that "Action News personalities will be here all week". What are they, standup comics? <sarcasm> "Hey, I'll be here all week; try the veal." </sarcasm>

Who wants the weather guy's autograph???

"I got the weather guy's autograph; it's gonna be sunny tomorrow!!"

Aha! Literally right down the road from us.

Actually, this is a question for you, baglady, and anyone else who hangs out at HHI - where are some good places to eat (preferably seafood/casual or nice)? I have these gift certificates that I got from the sales presentation, and it's a little bit too late to book parasailing or catamarans since we've only got one more day here...but we don't have any dinnfer plans! The list of participating restaurants is pretty long so please post/PM me if you have any favorites, and hopefully they'll be on the list!

It's been years since I ate at the Boathouse, but it was good. Our favorite spot is Charley's Crab.

For a casual lunch or so, I really like the Main Street Cafe (at the Main Street shopping area); imho the best fried green tomatoes.

Alexander's is quite good.

I've always like the Old Oyster Factory.

I like truffles, but I wouldn't go there looking for seafood.

When I went through PT for my shoulders, my PT would continually say that things happened differently to me because of the "red head factor". He had two other patients that were red heads and similarly would not respond the same way as other "normal" people. I'm happy to say that someone has proved him right!

The dental story could have been written about me and names changed.

Thank god for Club Acela. Penn is crazy as they've been cancelling/delaying trains.

The Indians are turning into the AL version of the Pirates (aka AAA team.)

I've got seven known air travel trips on my calendar between now and February - 2x HNL, ICN/MNL/YYZ, BCN and 2x Florida. And the *A Mega Do. Not too shabby.

After Sunday I'll only have ONE ticketed itinerary on my calendar (at least two more that are obviously going to happen but haven't been bought). I need to do something about that pronto. :)

I must have missed it! Sorry!

Actually, the Boathouse was on the top of the list that I had been making - nice to have my opinion backed up by a competent authority. :D (quote - anyone?)

Actually, the fabulous Mrs. Xyzzy makes the best fried green tomatoes. With all the rain in NJ lately, we'll be probably be picking quite a few more green ones soon -- if we let them get red we'll end up with soggy tomatoes.

I started ripping my tomato plants out yesterday. :( :( They got The Blight. 20 plants loaded with fruit will be going right into the garbage over the next few days. I'm hoping the 3 cherry tomato plants I have stay clear of it.

In defense of the Indians front office, they seem to have decided that, even with Lee and Martinez, they weren't going to contend next year. So, given that this year is , they will get what they can and reload for 2011. Lee and Martinez were going to be too expensive for a team in Cleveland to keep past next year anyway. In the meantime, the Indians farm system is now loaded. It's the only way to compete running a major league baseball team in Cleveland.

You are too young to have experienced being an Indians fan in the '70s and '80s. Those teams were brutal, though it was kind of fun to drag my dad to games at the old stadium in August when the Indians were 20 games out, Roy Nichols was on the mound, and there were 7,000 people in attendance.

One of the weather guys from that station visited daughter #1's second grade class and signed autographs. Welcome to Philadelphia.

She, of course, had no clue who he was because we don't watch the 6 pm news.

I was trying to think up the end credits, but all I could come up was new marketing partner Fred Lee Skies. Upgrades from EWR to SFO and LAX provided by Shirley U. Geste.

The Sox better make sure he's clean from PEDs. I am tired of baseball and all the crapola w/ the performance enhancing drugs.

Made it to the PDX 4 points.

1) I have gone from STL to PDX, turns out that's the Louis and Clark route.
2) I-84 goes up the Columbia river valley, AMAZING.
3) This 4 points is pretty ghetto.
4) The Dalles dam is pretty cool looking.
5) I hate driving.

I have found that most of the 4P's I have stayed in were ghetto (4P Miami Beach, 4P PHL Airport, 4P San Diego and some rathole in PA near WV)

I haven't had hers, so let me know when she'll be cooking 'em up :)
