Bdjohns, any suggestions if I've always wanted to learn Six Sigma and never knew where to start? Always had an interest. My personal opinion is that learning general Lean methodology is more practical as a starting point. To me, Lean is better as an overall philosophy for management, with Six Sigma projects as a tool for driving improvements. Lean's more people/culture focused, which if done properly is better for the long-term sustainability of the philosophy versus 6S, which still feels too rigid and analytical to me. For Lean, get The Toyota Way by Jeff Liker. |
You can use a NW SWU to upgrade DL flights if the ticket was purchased on delta.com, correct?

Thanks. Will add to the B&N list when I get home. About to get stuck in 95 traffic coming back from Baltimore. |

Stuck in traffic was a premature description...four lanes of 95 ground to a halt because some schmuck had a flat tire. Rubbernecking should be a crime...it is nothing more than the sick part of someone's brain deep down hoping that they witness a fire or a fatality. |
Just filed a complaint with AmEx and Kroger - one of my local stores insisted upon writing down my credit card number, expiration date, driver's license number, and expiration date for using a coupon out of today's paper their computer didn't recognize automatically ...

Here's to hopping for a bump tonight. The flight apears to be oversold :) |

Can't get CO's Award Search to return any flights (in Firefox or IE).

I'm trying to get to a NASCAR race and CO would offer the most convenient flight schedule on the return.

I have a question about upgrading on DL. I have some NW SWUs I need to use and have found DL flight on the dates that I need.
My preferred itin has one segment available in G, but the longer segment does not have G availability yet. There is another itin available that has G available the whole way through. If I purchase the first itin and upgrade the segment with G availability, will I be waitlisted for the second segment or do I have to keep tracking G availability ad call to manually upgrade the segment?

Sadly, I don't know the answer to your question - when I've done mileage upgrades in the past, I wouldn't book an itinerary unless I would immediately clear all legs. I've yet to redeem a PMU (or even take a flight) since achieving Platinum status for the first time.
