Mine laughed at me when he found out what it was at DO III. Laugh all you want, buddy. You are still sitting in coach. :)

Better than the last bag of WN peanuts I opened - a bag of salt that promptly landed on my black slacks. Aside from flying WN and getting severely delayed in HOU due to thunderstorms, what was the best part of the day? The PClub in SAT - I was able to convince the TSA to let me through the checkpoint with my WN boarding pass (departs from a completely separate building) because I had a day pass.

I'm still a big fan of how the PC's premium beverage credit card receipts aren't itemized. Makes it easier to drink my "lunch."

I've tried all the wines, just none of the cocktails except the Goose. I don't really drink mixed drinks or near much when flying anymore, and mostly drink modest amounts of swill wine or the occasional Campari and soda.

I got my ticket for Rod Stewart, being the only ticket available from the SPG/LN promo in SEA. Oh yaaahhhhhhh :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have to start flying out of AUS more often. The check-in agent, though she looked like she was having a bad day, was extremely nice. The PClub agents have been awesome as well and I'm tempted to have a margarita. Maybe Charlie is working in C tonight.

Better half is number 2 on the upgrade list for IAH-PDX and even though it's booked full, I'm keeping my hopes up.

Wirelessly posted (Samsung Omnia: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320))

We are going to Piola (www.piola.it) tonight. It has come highly recommended by a friend down here.

I've become a big fan of the premium wines in the PClubs, but I never drink wine in flight. It's a shame CO can't make an effort to serve in flight wines that are at least decent.

Stay off the Eastex Freeway (59) to IAH today. Fatal wreck just north of 1960 has caused massive backups south of there.

I always go to a great Greek place on AIA about 3 miles north of the W FLL. If you need the name, let me know.

Good grief, my shift is starting out . About to get called out to an MVA with injuries. One car involved is a minivan with 5 children...

And the hits keep on coming. Another client has decided that they need us at a cheaper hotel. Apparently $85 at the newest place in town was too expensive. Bring on the ancient looking Comfort Inn, at $69/night, with the stipulation that if we stay anywhere else they won't pay for it. And, they're a state institution, and instead of giving me a tax exempt form to just print out each trip and give to the hotel, like most of my clients in this state will do, they have to go and make it super complicated. Make the reservation (must be done by phone directly to hotel's front desk), then get them to e-mail it to me, then e-mail the confirmation to the client, then the client faxes ( can't we kill the d@mn fax machine people? It's not 1985 anymore!) the tax exempt form to the hotel, who then is supposed to call/e-mail me to tell me they have it. And if I need to stay in the city where the airport is on the last night, I have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get prior approval, and try to match the $69 rate at this Comfort Inn.

Guess I have to suck it up now and join Choice's frequent stay program. And go over to the bar at the PC for another drink.

PC Drinks arent bad!

We're planning to have a budget discussion next weekend, when we're both home at the same time again. Trying to cut expenses some — we're going to one car in August instead of the current two — and save more, and pay down debt faster.

Sharing expenses would be nice. Give a little more money to the travel budget.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm going to miss the Holiday Inn Express we were staying in. It was brand spanking new — opened less than six months ago — and the rooms really were pretty nice. In fact, nicer than many full service Marriott, Hilton, and Starwood properties when it came to the furniture, bathroom, and TV. And the bed wasn't bad at all. I guess I should also be thankful it's not the truly ancient La Quinta that a coworker stayed in back in April. It was built in the 1960s as a Holiday Inn, and it looks like it. The place has an awful odor in the lobby and apparently in the rooms as well. Hopefully the Comfort Inn is better than that.

I'm all for saving money where possible, and when it makes sense. I'd be a little happier if the client's finance people would just pull their heads out of their ***es and at least be reasonble with the procedures on this. I don't relish spending an hour making a hotel reservation every time I go there jumping through meaningless hoops because some control freak accountant won't give me a PDF of their state sales tax exemption certificate. But then, some people just love to create extra work for themselves. And the irony is that I'm working on a project there that's supposed to help this client become more efficient in its administrative procedures…

WHAT a Cluster F:rolleyes::mad:K!!

The wines and the drinks are nice. I like the one Charlie and Tripp make. I wont try to butcher the name of it. I would love to be in the PC right now.

Oh yes. At this time of year, seemingly, the entire state of Ohio decamps onto this island. In the parking lot of the place we stay, you will see more OH license plates than SC ones.

That's why mine only goes back to 2004, when I started with gmail. I wonder if I could dig up old AOL records or my undergrad email, which I downloaded to a now-dead computer...but honestly, my BEST lines would have come from the old days of flying with my parents, i.e. ~1983-1990. Almost-yearly trips to BKK, a handful of Europe trips, etc. Good times.

Can you get them all the way back to the beginning of your account (for a fee, I assume, but is it possible?)

When I agreed to play that wedding, back in MARCH, I knew in the back of my mind that even though there was nothing on the calendar, something would arise and I would kick myself. As it is, I will be jumping in the car and zooming down there just to get to the party to which I, indeed, got invited - by ~9:30 PM. Otherwise, I would have really loved hanging out with you guys in the afternoon...

SERIOUSLY! I don't know most of these guys in person, but they sure seem like fun. :D

Yes, CO Insider fixed it. There is some weird upgrade stuff going on in AUS, but I'm not going to worry about it.

Funny part is the two guys dressed in matching searsucker suits. Makes up for any poor CO service or crappy flight experiences.

CO.O.L. is giving me serious . I found VS UC availability but the AS availability that it shows doesn't exist IRL.
