I never thought I'd say this, but I'm going to miss the Holiday Inn Express we were staying in. It was brand spanking new — opened less than six months ago — and the rooms really were pretty nice. In fact, nicer than many full service Marriott, Hilton, and Starwood properties when it came to the furniture, bathroom, and TV. And the bed wasn't bad at all. I'm all for saving money where possible, and when it makes sense. I'd be a little happier if the client's finance people would just pull their heads out of their ***es and at least be reasonble with the procedures on this. I don't relish spending an hour making a hotel reservation every time I go there jumping through meaningless hoops because some control freak accountant won't give me a PDF of their state sales tax exemption certificate. But then, some people just love to create extra work for themselves. And the irony is that I'm working on a project there that's supposed to help this client become more efficient in its administrative procedures… :rolleyes:
