Teh Box Legal Dept. ought to set up an expedited name-change bureau. :-:

How long to NW/DL flights normally take to post to CO?

gbryan84 Sep 14, 2009 8:31 am

icurhere2, did you take the train from ZRH to downtown or did you have a hotel shuttle? I am thinking about going straight to town with jrzyshawn via train, I think, and then coming back to the airport when I get tired to catch the Hilton shuttle to the hotel.

NW-operated flights are usually the Tuesday after your flight.

jrzyshawn Sep 14, 2009 8:36 am

B6 JFK - LAS on 9/19 $39 :D ^

Take the train - it is easy and efficient. The Hilton does not have a shuttle downtown.

Also, if you have some time at that Hilton, take a walk on the jogging path. I enjoyed some great aeroporn as I walked the fields, including being buzzed by one of the Privatair flights.

Well you could try the honesty route and see what that gets you. Or say that your brother is getting married quickly and has asked you to be the best man.

Umm, candied bacon. ^

Call us heretics, but neither of us liked the Divine. And the IPA was horrible.

I have never like IPAs. There is better beers out there.

Home from a mostly great trip to NYC this weekend. However, the one real downer came right at the end of the trip. As we were leaving the cab we took to Penn Station from our hotel, my partner apparently left his brand new iPhone that he's had less than a month in the cab. I don't know how it happened, but we got down the escalator into Penn Station and he said "Where's my phone?" I ran back up the stairs but the cab was gone, and he searched our bags and it was nowhere to be found. He's now justifiably p!ssed off at himself for losing it. We've filed the necessary reports to try and get it back, if it's ever found, but odds are, we'll never see it again.

Sorry to hear about that. :(

Hmmm... finally a day off after 7 days on. Ready to relax doing laundry, cleaning house, getting life back in order and bills paid. :)

Have fun! ^ Tell me the kinds of things you are doing -- will be doing the same in a couple of weeks!;)

Morning, Box. US helped me out with some milestone flights this weekend. PDX-PHL put me over 900K lifetime BIS, and PHL-FLL was my 700th flight.

Wow, just wow!!^:-:

In any event, he done fixed on there at 8:45 and was done gone by 9:15. :D:rolleyes::-:

Good that it all got done!^

My day is not going too auspiciously so far -- woke up w/lingering sore throat feeling worse & have rib pain that may be costrochondritis! Going to the doc at noon!

Then, I'm still learning the technology on LinkedIn & ended sending out some unintended 'invites' to which I've received responses (some nice surprises). But, I also was mortified to see that I had sent one to an ex of a prospective beau -- I've never met her, but we have other connections in common (btw, she's accepted as a contact)!:confused::o:rolleyes:

I think there is a 3 missing at the begining. If you do it, how will you get home for under $300?

Train - absolutely no question, to either Stadelhofen (sp?) or Main Station. I would recommend (as someone recommended to me) the ZurichCard - 19 CHF for 24 hours, includes rail, many museums, and a free welcome drink at a lot of establishments. Don't go to the kiosks or stand in the lines for a teller - there's a travel / tourism store when you come out of baggage control into the level of the mall.

PDX and the northwest won't be the beer place for you then. With Oregon being the #2 hops grower in the world (right behind Germany) it's hard not to drink an IPA while you're there.

They do have a nice selection of wheats and stouts though.

sbm12 Sep 14, 2009 8:48 am

I just got invited to a kickoff meeting for the Kyrgyz-North America Trade Council in NYC, in the tourism category. I'm pretty sure it was that and not the hydroelectric dam construction category. :D

Actually the Prime Minister is one of the featured speakers. I wish I didn't have to work that day. :(

I'm pretty selective about IPAs but can indeed enjoy pretty much any type of beers other than wheats.
