I'd take a plastic cup over the tiny glasses KE uses... I felt like taking the whole tray of champagne when they came around to serve pre-flight drinks.

Anyone else flown BF lately and experience the concierge and ISM almost prostrate themselves talking about the new lie-flat seats coming soon? It was almost apologetic in tone listening to the sales pitch...

I feel like I robbed CO.

Last year I spent a cool $10k for a mixture of work and pleasure travel and almost made Gold.

I made it for less, if my math is right (according to AmEx). My YTD spend on CO is ~$1500. I had ~$800 last year in Q4 spend for tix this year. And I'm over 90K EQMs.

Agreed. I was so miffed about those thimbles. Combined with the rather infrequent return visits I basically was sober the whole flight.

Especially for those of us with big hands - it was like playing tea party with my nieces. That being said, with the KE service I was able to get my fill. Giving them chocolate upon boarding does wonders! ^^

I did like it when they brought 4 bottles in a basket for my selection.

I think they should use glassware for champagne both pre and during , and perhaps ask customers when they order a drink if they prefer glass or plastic for their pre 8am ALCO Special Gin & Tonic :D

Does anyone know if OnePass can provide members with printouts of flight history over the entire course of one's membership?

When I decided to start entering things into FM, the OnePass service center e-mailed me a couple years of history that I'm not sure was 100% accurate or complete.

For about 5 or 6 years in a row, I made plat with segments and spent around $20K each year. And with that, I'm still over 250,000 miles away from lifetime silver :(

Great question - maybe one for Scott to answer offline. I know there are a ton of business flights that I do not remember since I joined OnePass in the 90s.

They can not. When it comes to detail, I believe that the best they can do is get the last 3 or so years. Furthermore, I believe that the standard OnePass agents will not be able to provide you with this detail.

Just as an add to this, I did ask about an extended flight history once, and IIRC anything past either three or five years is sent out to a warehouse on microfiche and when I asked, CO was charging a $35 PER FLIGHT lookup fee.

Good afternoon Box!

An exciting morning so far... Cable guy came and set up the cable TV and Internet at our new place and the TV delivery guy dropped off my new HDTV. I don't watch a ton of TV, but I think I'm in love! ^

Your love will turn to unbridled hot pig lust the first time you turn on the Golf Channel. I had no idea that various shades of green could be so vivid.

On all my recent SQ flights, they would come and top up my glass every few minutes, I found LH to be the same.

I have no idea, but things like PHL-IAH-AMS-IHA-PHL at DEQM for $450 certainly helped my side of the equation... then again it looks like I'll have over 160kEQM for the year so I went way, way over the 75k threshold.

For those of you interested in custom fit clothes in HKG, to give you an idea of value Mrs. MBM3 and I were able to get a sport jacket, a womens jacket, a womans shirt and 7 men's dress shirts for US$1K, all using top quality fabric. Plus, as you know, I use up a lot of fabric....

On a side note, I was hysterical to see the look on my tailor's face when he tried to measure/fit my shoulders. I thought my belly would be more of the issue, but alas it would be my upper torso.

I wanted to go a little larger (50-52) but the other half said it had to be under 50". She didn't put up a fight with me buying the thing, so I gladly complied. 46" actually turned out to be a very nice size for the room it is in.

Nice! Just in time to watch the new season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia ;)

An FA on AA did give up once and gave me a mostly full 750. ^

I am thinking I spent around 2,000-2,500 at most and I'll make plat this year. This is including the $600 for the *DO. (I am not sure how much CO will see out of that).
