On a separate note: I went to a comedy club tonight and just gave cash toward my part of the tab because it was just easier than asking the server to split it. As I pulled out the cash, I realized that I can't even remember the last time I used green backs. It must have been at least 3 months since I pulled cash out or put cash into my wallet, since I always use coins (except Canada where they don't like 'em). Heck, I even bought a $200 piece of furniture from the Amish using coins :D |

The area is full of new construction condo's and is a couple streets away from the light rail. Overall it seemed nice and safe. I dont think we are ready to talk to a realtor as we really need to figure out where we really want to be Astoria, Brooklyn, LI, NJ, CT. There are way to many places to live up here but we would like to do it without a car so public transit is a must and I do not want to commute more than an hour to the Grand Central area. Ultimately if our current landlord drops our rent when it is time to renew we will stay for another year or two but who knows if that will happen.

My impression is that the best public school systems in the NYC area are to be found in Bergen County and in parts of Westchester, though this may be based on my freshman roommate, who grew up in Ridgewood, and my wife, who grew up in belynch-land.
