I also found the Ws in San Francisco and San Diego to be stingy with upgrades.

That's about it for my naughty list. However, I would suggest checking the property-specific thread for any SPG property before booking. Take what you read with a grain of salt. Some of the people there will swear they could feel a pea under the mattress, and that it absolutely ruined their sense of self-entitlement.

using you earlier formula , I probably had good results at W SAN and SFO due to my frequent visits over the last few years. There were many weeks where I would check out of SAN and go to either LA or SFO W only to return to the other the next night.

There are a lot of strange stories about express partners not being redeemable in both directions on the CO-DL/NW relationship. I had an agent try to deny me on a Comair flight at one point. I'd book the DTW-AMS and then add on the EWR-DTW segment later if the agent won't budge.

The W on Poydras in New Orleans upgraded me to suites my last few stays there as a Gold. I can only assume it was because I was staying there just about every other weekend since they reopened post-Katrina.

Teh HTC Touch Diamond and it is NOT working out for me and my massive Sasquatch hands. I already dropped it and it has a scratch on it, so I can't bring it back.

I ordered the HTC Ozone instead and I am waiting for it to arrive.

The "CO to have inflight wireless??" thread stumbled upon CO's using the Iridium array for company communications. For reasons I won't bore with, I have a fondness for Iridium.

If any of you have never seen an Iridium flare (the below-your-horizon sun reflecting off one of the sats' mirrors back exactly to your location, to make by far the brightest object in the night sky), let me suggest that you check out this link, find one some night or early morning, and go outside and watch it.

When I read that first post my initial thought was that it's a Wi-Fi connection (that then links to a satellite) for the new pay on board devices.

Already? It's still early!

I was being forced into it. First anniversary of engagement today. I've escaped to the bathroom with the laptop.

Congrats. I'm not far behind, and of the 100-something posts remaining to reach that goal, I'd be willing to bet that north of 90% of them are in the Box.

Why guess? 8,006 of your posts have been in teh B:rolleyes::-: for a B:rolleyes::-: ratio of 73.7%.

You would have lost your bet. :D:p:rolleyes::-:

(This is as close as we got to the real thing.)

You didn't go to Falkirk. Tisk, Tisk. Enjoyed all the other photos.

Thanks. I hope things work out well. Though, essentially, I would be kicked off of FT, since I won't have a laptop w/ me anymore while @ work. :( But, I'll get to travel. Lots of travel going on in the next couple weeks for coworkers. Places like AMS, LAX, BNA, PHX, CVG, BUF, IND, JAX, STL, and FLL. If I was permanent, I could possibly go. Oh well. I'll just be thankful to have a job.

That's what smart phones are for. Best of luck getting the perm position.

We finished late today so we just stayed inside and went to Cascade Seafood for dinner. It was quite good. Thanks to belynch or rolov (sorry forgot which one) for the recommendation. Sea bass was exceptionally good and I asked them to undercook it slightly. Came out perfect and delicious. Side of garlic vegetables was average but the herb rice was quite good too. I'm stuffed.

Is that the restaurant that's insde the mansion inside the building?

Interesting point, but you fail to account for the fact that I rarely leave The Box now. @:-) I used to explore the rest of FT, but The Box is my home.
