The last time that I ever sat in the back transcon was when I flew CO SAN-EWR as a platinum on a high priced ticket.

Aside from the ATL-LAX 77L, what other international config planes are doing transcons?

I think we've all sat in the back on a high fare on a CO transcon at some point. Definitely not fun.

Also, someone was saying that the Z fare seats on UA book into Y for that deal. Anyone know anything about that? Would it still book into Y on a p.s. flight?

I'm trying to decide if I want to do the ORD thing as well. Definitely sounds like a lot of fun but the thought of waking up early to start the whole thing seems a bit much.

How would you take PS to get to ORD to start the event?

With the slight change that we can fly back from FRA, DUS or MUC i'm wondering if I should do MUC-SFO instead of FRA-SFO.

Choices choices.

And how about a % cap on service fees? Jeez!

I wish those guys would be put out of business. The high ticket prices and absurd fees are one main reason why I don't go to concerts any more. When fees add up to 40% of the cost of an event I stop paying out of principle. I recently was going to buy tix to an event in NYC> The tix were $25 each, but by the time the fees were tacked on they came to $35 each.

You can take your own passport photos. It's cheap and you can take as many as you want until you get one you like.

Think before you commit -- What's the chance of getting stuck at ORD while everyone else wings off to FRA?

Here for info from those who may have been here before. :p

Work sends me to Cape Girardeau Missouri tomorrow and Friday. So, is there anything worth seeing there besides the Mississippi? Any info would be appreciated.

A vomiting emoticon would come in quite handy here.

Is his house a museum? That would be a frightening place to visit :D.

I forgot to mention, very pleased with Crowne Plaza Texas Medical Center

They had perfect beds, nice rooms, nice staff, and $57/night(hotwire) can't beat that :)
oh yes, they had a shuttle to TMC so you didn't have to pay those insane parking fees.

There is a 763 on the JFK-LAX route on and off these days. There was some discussion in the DL forum about that yesterday.

I'd be going out the night before rather than waking up to get there for a 7:30am start. That's another reason I'm strongly considering not going - I don't need another night of hotel costs for this boondoggle.

As for p.s., I'm thinking about my return. I'm going to MUC for the Mod Do that weekend and was looking at MUC-LAX on the 346 for the miles and to visit a friend in LAX. If the $150 ticket would book into the biz seats I'd buy that through the program. If it books into p.s. E+ then I'll be booking a one-way seat on VX for $129 and trying out their service for the first time.

I thought I saw a 763 int'l on an ATL-SFO afternoon flight on the schedule the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Don't know whether that's an anomaly.

No, but the Federal Courthouse in town is named for a family member of his. He comes from a long line of lawyers, one of whom practiced until the day he died, aged 104. Never knew that until I read an article just now; very interesting.

I believe there was also a morning LAS-ATL as of earlier this year.
