which camp is it Brituchenite? .

Lake Vu. Love that camp. It's under new ownership now, and the new owners have really upgraded and revamped it. My little one is so excited to be going (especially since her big sister went there years ago).

Continuing to put good vibes your way for SAN.

I'm flying to San Antonio on Monday. Flight leaves at 2:35PM. Will probably be in EWR PC club at around 1pm. Are you flying Monday or are you in SAN during the week?

Much of HNL is open to the outdoors. There wasn't any glass between me and the plane when I took This Photo as I was sitting down at a table and having a little bite to eat

^ maybe I will fly to HNL and use my free nights and car rental there, sounds fascinating for a US airport.

OT but some of my DEQM posted last night, still missing about 6200 however, from last week.

It's pretty quiet in the CLE PC.

Wish my FT luggage tags would have arrived in time for this trek.

Hmmmm... perhaps a MR worthy trip once CO is with LH!

Morning BOX, just saying high before I head into the laundry room to start laundry!

Nothing wrong with that. I ride first/business on Amtrak all the time.

The other half and I were sinking about a weekend in BOS, and we don't want to drive...we looked at Amtrak, NK, and WN. WN was the winner by a longshot, and Amtrak was embarrassingly expensive. Why, when I have easy access to BWI, would I pay 5x as much for a journey that is 3x as long?

WN: $39+$59+taxes/fees x2 on BWI-BOS, 90 minute flight
Amtrak Acela Biz: $594 a/i for two people on PHL-BOS, 5-hour ride

Uh, guess who wins that one.

I now know why the US has no prudent passenger rail system.

It has a very Euro feel, I wonder if UA just borrowed the LH designers.

The new job does not have flying for work in the cards, but I will most certainly be adding an FT tag to the bag that the new personal laptop will live in. It's gonna go like this: Apple Store -> Bag Store -> FT Store. :D

Good weekend morning, Box. Today will be consumed photographing and writing...the bulk of the Hard Rock pin collection is going on eBay, finally.

Why didn't anyone mention the publix cubano earlier

I don't get Monster some times. How does automatic searches that include the entire state of NJ always seem to exclude Newark which has all of the job postings?

I hope she has such a good time!! I remeber that place really well....I went there as a camper for a few summers and then worked there when I was in high school.

Right now, 1726 is booked 11/16 with 8 checked in. I'm #3 on the list and MCC, A. (Ms. GadFly) is #5. Hopefully a combination of no more platinums checking in and all the various appendages you've got crossed for me will allow us to sit together and enjoy transcon service ^

Sorry.....won't work this week. We're flying home on the red-eye Tuesday night. I'm flying back out on Friday morning and back on Saturday...will you be traveling then?

Steve GadFly Jun 6, 2009 10:27 am

WiFi in the P-Club at EWR is very  today. I had someone ask me for help getting somewhere on AirTrain on the way here. That seems to happen almost every trip I take. Do I look like I know where I'm going or do I just look like the mild-mannered kind of person who wouldn't be a jerk?

Like the late George Carlin said: "It's not the quiet ones you've gotta watch.....while you're watching a quiet one, a noisy one will f***ing kill you!" :D

Nah! Will be flying back from SAT on Thursday morning and then not flying for about a month. I am over 107,000 EQMs now on CO and so can't really justify doing any joy rides or MRs ....

You've got me beat on miles this year. I've taken a bunch of short hops but not nearly as many as I did over the last 8 years. Travel's starting to pick up a bit over the next few weeks and I may have some opportunities to get to Europe this year for work. Guess I'd better get that expired passport renewed...right SBM12?? :p

I don't know if you're aware of this, but at one point in the not so distant past, maybe three years ago, all of New Jersey did not exist on Monster.com - the choices were "Philadelphia suburbs" and "New York City suburbs". No joke, it's true.

Suppose you're at a bar and there's a guy at the end of the bar reading a book and not bothering anyone. In the door comes a guy with a machete screaming "I'll kill the next motherfu*ker who comes in here!"

Who you gonna watch?
