I found it highly inconvenient, terrible road congestion, so many downsides, literally no useful mass transit at all. It may be the best 2-3k you spend in your life.

If you are interested in moving to FL, check out the northern parts of Palm Beach County - Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, etc. There are some very nice, new, high end areas and the people are nothing like the stereotypical South Floridian.
