ETA -- now give me my $#@&ing companion upgrades. I'M ENTITLED TO IT!

I love the list. And, well, you know how I feel about the companion upgrade thing. ;)

I agree that it doesn't work all that well, but it is a nice little extra when it works out. That's all I see it as and that is enough for me. Having it on the books for the very lightly F loaded flights is better than not having it at all.

Our group isn't that big. With 400 people around name tags are useful. For 30-40 I'm planning on just faking it. Odds are someone is a Ste(v/ph)en or a Mike. :p

There are varying causes for stupidity in general.

Absolutely agreed.

The current process however creates several inconveniences. It can, and should be, improved. And I'm mildly annoyed that they'll sell upgrades to non-elites before considering even adding my companion to the list.

:D So true... Although, I won't be able to attend due to other commitments so you'll have one less Steve to deal with.

expired miles

Morning Box
Looking for some insight and not about CO. Just much easier to come here and the entertainment value is mo better

I have some Delta miles that expired(the scabs are healing from the self flogging, thank you)
Actually I have 67,890 miles.
I know I had a car rental sometime before they expired but can't find the receipt to prove it.
Delta has kindly offered  to re-instate those for $50/5000.
I would likely just write them off but since I can now combine them with World Perks am thinking maybe I should purchase a few back.

Rarely fly either but being back on the east coast may have to every so often.

ALL,SOME or NONE? That is today's question.

Thanks Box

I must really like you all to be getting on a CR2 for almost three hours (boarding, then 2hr41mn block time for 874 miles) tomorrow morning.

Hartmann May 29, 2009 9:22 am

I booked my IAH-AUS-IAH run as two one-ways. This morning, checking-in for the outbound, no upgrade, but 10 empties up front. For the return, there are less seats available and yet I get upgraded at > 24 hours out.

I really didn't care if I was upgraded or not, the EUA system is so obscure and finicky that I truly believe it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

Pay money to reinstate miles you already paid to earn? Absolutely not. IMO, expiring miles is a pathetic practice and should not be supported in any way shape or form.

Good Morning Box.

If I were to let miles expire (not bloody likely), my thought process would be to look at your credit card statement, figure out precisely when the car rental was, then ask the car rental company to re-issue you a receipt.

JOB!!!

KNRG May 29, 2009 9:56 am

Update: CO619 is full because they canned the 1:10pm TWP-EWR and put most of the pax on 619.

Found from others in the group who logged in - today - to discover their departure time had been moved up.
