Transcon crews can and do "turns". The SFOIAH redeye flight is usually a turn crew. I haven't seen a SFOEWR redeye turn crew is a long time but the ones that did it loved it.

jrzyshawn, Happy Birthday and thanks for the shoe shopping tip. I think my feet are passed wanting to wear anything other than sneakers. Two prior broken feet, one bunion that was fixed, one bunion that remains to be fixed plus something in my heel that has a cool name....my feet just want to be left alone.

Hartmann and wife....I am so glad nothing serious was discovered today. Rest and relax this weekend.

It's not common and is usually done because Y is overbooked.
And seat counter says.. B/Y=1 D-F=2 So, likely over sold? |

It's not overbooked. I'm not too sure why the seat is blocked.

edit. um, nevermind. I think you are here. |
I'm debating whether or not to sound the klaxon and alert others in my travel group who may be on this flight. I can think of 2-3 off the top of my head but there could be quite a few others.. I know like 12-15 people end up on the same connecting red eye to CDG.
These people are sweet, friendly, college educated people.. but they are really kettle. I couldn't even convince some of them to sign up for a onepass account because they were convinced it cost money. I don't want to panic them but I also dont want them to get bumped because they don't have a seat assignment (very likely) and haven't checked-in until they arrive at the airport (ever more likely.) The group is under a "death to thee who accepts a VDB" decree due to the scheduling of transport and activities on the arrival day in Paris. I suspect a IDB wouldn't go over too well either, if anything, making them miss out on some stuff. |
