Something I suspected but couldn't confirm now appears to be true.. R inventory gets reset/washed/eviscerated at 45 days out. None of the tatl flights I was looking at a day or two ago have any R inventory. I expect it to return in a week or less.

No joy on Monday yet.

Baglady reminded me that as we're on the red-eye, it was not yet 5 days out.

We cleared this AM. :D

Something isn't right. Never got an EUA for my EWR-PHX flight tomorrow and it went from 8 seats open to none in two hours.

Now there are a bunch of folks sitting up front. I wonder how many of those are rev-ups.

Uh oh. Where do you sit on the PDA site?

Clears throat. Plus1 has an issue with time changes/math/etc. That's what I'm here for ;) We do not have seats together, but have 3B and 3F so an easy swap (it's for BL JR and I to sit together)

Swiss Cards - TSA?

Anybody know if any of the Swiss Army Swiss Card is OK to take through screening?

Or do you have to pull the blade?

Thanks.

The would not let me take it but mostly because it was in my pocket and removed to small bin....had it been in with my hard drive bag they would have never known :)
I now carry a swisstech no blade multi tool for travel

Even if it is OK that doesn't mean the TSA will let you through. After all, they have their mantra of unpredictability that they have to maintain.

Finally all packed (I think). I'm not bringing any closed-toe shoes except my dive booties on this trip. I'm quite happy about that. A week of vegetating pool-side and underwater will do me quite well, I think. Maybe a blog post or two, but otherwise hopefully offline the whole time, too. Ahhhhhhhh....

I've heard that Ecco golf shoes are pretty much the best out there. I'm still stuck with DryJoys for right now, but once my scoring improves to the point of justifiable investment, I'll pick up Eccos.

As Baglady will attest, I'm a bit of a shoe whore. I have three pairs of Ecco golf shoes.

The amazing Baglady bought me one, I got one at an Ecco outlet store, but the third was found at a Marshall's for $29. Score!

I have one pair of their casual shoes for which I forked out $39 at the outlet. I am a retail bottom feeder.

In SYD they tore my bag apart (ran it through the X-Ray about 6 times) and finally discovered ... a small adjustment screwdriver  In the ensuing argument, I got the screener to admit that it wasn't a threat. He would not let me keep it, though. No tools are allowed past in Oz. I presume that would include the Swiss Card.

I don't. Though, Scott just told me what happened. Apparently, I found a new bug. Needless to say it's a fluke and has nothing to do with the rev-ups.

Good Night Box.

Well.......what do you like?

I'm also a fan of Johnston & Murphy.

How's that new CO consulting gig going? ;)

Me too. Good night all.

ALCO, I said it in the other thread, but have a wonderful wedding and mileage run, I mean honeymoon ;)

sbm12, glad you had a refreshing evening; have a great trip; I'm very tired and memory is shredded, where are you going?

For dress shoes, I like To Boot New York, Ferragamo, Johnston & Murphy, Barney's store brand, and Tod's. For very casual dress, you usually will find me wearing Addidas running shoes. I like the style of many Cole Haan shoes, but I just find them to wear out more quickly.

Belize. :D

Amergris Caye. :D :D

Diving. :D ^ :D ^ :D ^ :D

I have a pair of Fleuvog shoes that I wear that I completely love. They are reasonably dressy on the top but thick rubber soles. I've walked for hours/miles in them and then put on a suit to go to a wedding and been completely comfortable the whole time. Their shoes with the leather soles aren't nearly as nice, but the rubber ones are quite comfy.

I'm outta here. Be back in a week.

Good night, and good luck.
