I just spent two hours on AM adding routes and readjusting my fleet usage, and realized that fleet utilization is still not 100% efficient. I wish I would have had time to get this far before the game started. It has been interesting trying to figure it all out, though.

I have a pair of Fleuvog shoes that I wear that I completely love. They are reasonably dressy on the top but thick rubber soles. I've walked for hours/miles in them and then put on a suit to go to a wedding and been completely comfortable the whole time. Their shoes with the leather soles aren't nearly as nice, but the rubber ones are quite comfy.

I'm outta here. Be back in a week.

Good night, and good luck.

I have a pair of To Boot New York (Adam Derrick) shoes like that and absolutely love them.

For dress shoes, I like To Boot New York, Ferragamo, Johnston & Murphy, Barney's store brand, and Tod's.

I've never had Ferragamos, your taste runs rich. I did come very close to pulling the trigger on some Allen-Edmonds, but just couldn't do it.

I had an amazing pair of Polo wing tips that a had for over 10 years. I just put on new sole, heels, etc every couple of years and had them conditioned & they looked like new. Better to spend $60 on a pair of shoes you love than blow bigs bucks on something you may end up hating.

In this economy, I do hear that the shoe repair business is ^.

It's sad to watch Gallery Furniture (a Houston landmark some would say) burn down live on television. :(

Teaser of the day. Tonight's podcast was a riot.

I used to always put plates on the heels and toes of my dress shoes, but now I also do the whole sole cover in rubber. You get a lot more life as well as comfort.

DuPont filters can also go in the brita pitchers.

I have two of the Brita pitchers and use the Walgreen's brand filters, purchased when buy-one-get-one-free or free-after-rebate.

I can just picture Ben and Hunter hanging with the Insider.

Night, Box. Phoner in the morning, and then golf.

No idea.

The fire was supposedly contained to the warehouse but it went to three alarms when I was turning off the news. (and now it's at four alarms according to KHOU.com)

Yeah, I caught some of the KHOU feed before some bonehead tape op started running the VTRs back and forth. Really insane, Mattress Mac looks pretty shaken up about the whole thing, though he did invite everyone to the Post Oak store to buy stuff there, heh.
