Glad to hear your companion got the up -- clearly the agent does not get the finer points of how the upgrade list is sorted. What did you say to finally get her to add your companion to the list?

I pulled the misdirection move and while the agent was distracted , I spoke to a more polite agent.

Nope, First Ted and AERO GATO EN LOS PANTALONES are behind you.

I wish I would have taken into account individual aircraft utilization a bit better before the world began. I did not realize the impact of a utilization imbalance among my aircraft until last night, when I had a chance to reconfigure things. I still need to shuffle some routes around to make things more efficient.

Was surprised to see that about FTed, he was up with me for a bit there... then he hubbed up in MAN, apparently he wants to get into that European price bonanza. Guess I'll sit back here in xth place since I'm not going to fight that mess.

Yes, I am clearly not making the kind of money that is available in Europe, but at this point, there is too much competition for me to compete there with my size airline.

That hub cost me a lot of cash. I was short about 5000 euros to properly hub it so I had all those gate cost as well as a plane sitting around for a while until the money situation improved so I could hub it and start making money. Now I've gone into the red from buying gates to keep the new plane on line and I have another new plane coming that I have to put into service soon.

Yes the cash whoring of Europe was noticed so I figured I should grab my MAN hub while I can.

And unless I missed something Grateful Express still hasn't told us who they are....I just want to know who has this insane shorthaul network out of CDG hauling in the cash!

What's being done in Europe is very possible in N. America and Asia as well.

My strategy of going after small areas with small planes is how you rack up cash quickly. The smaller the plane, the less effective it is on longer routes, unless it's a Concorde.

Put the ATRs on lots of short hops and you can get them to near $900k each a day.

Would you guys and gals consider $700 for two F tickets IAH-SEA a good deal? ($700 total, not a piece)
