I wish I would have had me some of that earlier this week when I had a cleaning. Just when I thought I was done, the hygienist started scraping my front teeth and gums as if I killed her puppy.:eek: I told her if she didn't stop, I was going to start crying.

Glad to hear that the extractions went smoothly. They didn't pull the other two at the same time? When my daughter had hers done -- all four came out at the same time. Lots of ice cream & soft foods!

What kind of cheating was said customer trying to pull? Sounds like it was a lot of holiday travel nonsense going on.

Just got home after 2 hrs of mostly waiting around for my son & his friends to set up for a gig tonight. I am officially a 'roadie' mom after loading up my SUV to the gills w/unbelieveably huge & heavy equipment. (Did not drive anywhere all day - car was loaded last night, -- for fear of either damaging said equipment or blowing a tire!)

When I had to have one done I told them to just do all four. It wasn't so bad and I didn't even take the day off.

Good for you -- so you wouldn't have problems later on. Also, may as well get the expense out of the way all at once!

I know my son will need to get his done in the next year or so. My daughter's mouth was apparently much 'advanced' for her age & the wisdom teeth roots were pretty entrenched already, and was a somewhat complicated surgery, but turned out fine.

Does he still have some good drugs to tide him over? :D

I have major dental anxiety. Enough that I can't go without popping a xanax beforehand. I had enough of hyperventilating in the parking lot and decided I'd pony up and ask my dr. for something to help me handle it. I've realized I'm not alone in this fear.

:eek: I had three in one day by my dentist; the other had to be done by an oral surgeon. I don't know how I could have done my job at the time since my job entailed answering the phone and talking to people. I remember drinking room temperature ensure - blech.

Yeah, there are lots of people with that. I don't have as much anxiety as I do hate.:D I hate the very thought of the dentist and the cleaning. I hate the swirly thing, I hate the taste of the tooth paste stuff, I hate the scraping and I hate the whole x-ray process. I'd much rather have a doctor x-ray my body to find something that's really going to kill me than to sit there for 25 minutes as they run in and out doing bite-wings. :rolleyes: And I hate the fact that my dental insurance pays about $37 on a $120 bill.

My dentist had been begging me to get them out for years, but nothing was wrong with them so I saw no need. Once I knew I needed one out I wanted them all done. The dentist actually tried to convince me to do, "At least two" a few times during that conversation -- without hearing what I'd just said, that I'd already decided to do all four.
