Excellent fjord photos, sbm12. They bring back great memories of my first Norway trip. ^

Thanks! I'm still pretty much in awe of just how beautiful it was there.

Hiking up to the top of some of the falls and looking down was particularly breathtaking.

How many miles is it for a UA East Coast-SYD in F ?

In which program? 160K UA miles, 140K US miles.

Hmmm - it would be kind of fun to buy a bunch of US miles, recreate our honeymoon routing on Star and then redeposit my CO miles... :D

Geiranger definitely made it into my "World's Most Beautiful" file, along with Tromso (surreal arctic scenery with granite cliffs and mountains plunging into the sea).

The DC9-30s are the hardest to find correct? I am thinking of doing IAH-MEM-LBB O/W just to hop on one.

They are now. There seem to be a lot still on ORD routes. When I was flying back from SIN via ORD last week, I saw three DC9-30's at ORD (one of which I flew to DTW).

I'm starting to realize that it is next to impossible to find a short term lease right now. I just got back from a place that, over the phone, told me they offered 3-6 month leases but when I got there the person on property had no clue what I was talking about.

I'm looking at a MR for BL JR before she starts school and could do IAH-EWR-HKG-EWR-IAH for around $1600 on a B fare (all upgradable). We could have a couple of quality days in HKG. Of course, I haven't talked to Plus1 about this, but she would requalify for Gold with this and be on he way to plat. Thoughts from teh Box?

That's about $.06/mile, a little high, but does get her Gold.

IMO, $1600 for a B fare for IAH-HKG is a very good price. I have been shopping for Europe trips in M or above on DLNW to try to get some use out of my SWU's, and DCA-LHR in November is $2300 all-in in M.

It's high from a mileage running standpoint, but good from an upgradeable, 150% EQM-earning flight to Asia standpoint, IMO.

I've never been a fan of his shows(haven't bothered to watch non-Jay), but I do like the guy because he helped me out with a 'Flat Stanley' project for my nephew. Ran into Conan while he was filming a cameo for 'The Office' at Rockefeller Center and he didn't hesitate to pose.^ I thought that was sweet.

The BF segments are not upgradeable correct?

I think baglady was referring to a mileage upgrade, as opposed to a B-up. A mileage upgrade would, of course, be possible for the BF segments.
