Toss a match on it and see if it explodes.

I want to win money so I can hire a personal trainer to yell at me.

It is a weekend. Wait for Tuesday and see if they don't drop back down like they are prone to do.

On a similar note, anyone have any idea why ITA would show a LA N fare for JFK-YYZ that isn't bookable? I read the fare rules and there is nothing I can see to prevent it from booking and I checked to ensure that there is inventory available - there is. But every engine I've tried insists on booking it into S, the $40 higher bucket. :(

That's an urban legend.

Hope you've been practicing your wind sprints.

The AF lounge is nice, with a lot of Lamps. Definitely one of the nicer AF lounges out there. I've never been to KE or AZ. KE lounges tend tone a bit meh.

What terminal does DL use for Int'l flights out of JFK and which lounges would I be able to access from there?

T2/3 or T4, depending on the flight. In T2/3 you get the CRCs. In T4 I believe you get to Oasis if you're in BizE and nothing for simply being ST E+ but I'm not positive on the latter.

The alarm system has a battery backup... for how long? I don't know. I know that VOIP will work up to a certain point, because it, along w/ my DSL modem or cable modem, along w/ router would be plugged into a battery backup which would be good for probably half an hour - or longer. There would be nothing that draws a lot of power.

We're thinking of getting the AT&T u-verse (similar to FIOS). My question, is if we continue to use DSL, and get VOIP, how would I be able to disconnect the outside line, and plug the VOIP modem into the outlets into the house to give every phone a tone?

Most incumbent LEC's (the "Baby Bells) still offer a low-cost local measured service line (remember message units?) in some markets. Call your phone company and ask if such a line is available in your area. It's usually about half the rate of a flat-rate local line and as long as you aren't making calls on it is a cheap alternative and still works with alarm systems. What's more if you have it terminate to a working phone jack in your house you can use it as an emergency backup if the power ever goes out.

We'll have to look into this. It may be the way to go.

I have cable now and use VOIP for our phones and alarm here. Never had a problem yet. I use 8x8 service for about $250 a year with unlimited calling.

8x8 service?

Yeah...tell me about it. I've been on exactly 3 international trips in my life:

Israel with my grandfather when I was 14 (Bar Mitzvah present, El Al from JFK)

Bristol, UK in 2002 for work (PHL - LGW on USAir)

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic in 2004 with Ms. GadFly (CO 737).

My passport expired 2 years ago and I'm just now getting it renewed since my boss said I may have to start going to Germany and maybe some Central and South America.

That being said, I do have a permanent butt-imprint in 12A on just about every ERJ-145 in the fleet

Hopefully, I'll get to fly more on heavies in the future......I'm EWR-SYR on Wednesday...do you think they'll sub out my Q-400 for a 777 if the flight's too overbooked? :p

I just checked CO.com. I can only get into DL lounge with pc membership. I swore a few weeks ago the AF lounge was listed.

My cousin gave me her camera to download some photos on to my computer. I'm pretty sure there are a few she didn't mean for me to see nor did I want to!:o
