Happy Sunday:p

Quick question. Whos website do I use to look up :rolleyes:neW:rolleyes:rld reward flights? We are thinking of going to ATH next summer so I figure Ill start looking early. I assume you guys/gals would recommend flying Iberia in Business all the way through than have a 3+ hour flight on AF if I were to use CO miles?

OW searches are done via QF's site. And I think I'd probably recommend BA over IB but I'm not entirely sure why. Certainly avoiding LHR would be nice but who knows.

And should CO be in *A at that point the number of options you'll have will be significantly higher, though it will mean not booking for another couple months.

Good morning, Box. :)

It is eerily quiet this morning in my office after unplugging my giant switch that contains three jet fans. Anything to lower the cost of electricity, though.

I should have just sent you a PM;) Thanks for the advice. I may just wait for the :-:A options if you think they will be better.

We are now booked for a September trip: CLE-EWR-AUA, staying at the Westin Resort. Currently on the upgrade waitlist for some of the segments.

Happy Sunday! John

Very nice indeed.

Dergon_gf has stated that the wedding location has to b somewhere we both have never been before. Lots of the Caribbean for that .....AUA might fit the bill. :)

Report back!

You should have joined the group on the 777 from EWR to SEA a few years ago. ...

Altho I have been forced into it several times since the first experience, I tend to book away from the CO 777s because I do not like their seats in BF. Mostly a personal preference since I cannot completely adjust them to the positions that I like.

I find those seats very frustrating because some big dome industrial designer decided to use preset positions and complementary motions instead of allowing continuously variable adjustments for each feature and none of his ideas suit me. There are some ways to cheat his positions a bit, but nothing that is completely satisfactory to me.

I have cable now and use VOIP for our phones and alarm here. Never had a problem yet. I use 8x8 service for about $250 a year with unlimited calling.

I'm a little nervous about the wedding itself but I am excited beyond words to be married to her. :)

Enjoy the day. It's so easy to get caught up in wanting it to be perfect. Just chill, and enjoy spending time with those whom you love and want to be around. Who cares if the flowers aren't the exact right color, who cares if the napkins aren't folded into a perfect fan, who cares? No-one. Everyone wants to be there to see you and Ms. sdm1130 who will look perfect whatever happens!

So do I. I love watching HGTV and DIY TV. Get lots of ideas and then don't implement any of them!!!

Olton Hall - this is something you'll get a chuckle out of

A Well-Planned Retirement - From The London Times:

Outside the Bristol Zoo, in England , there is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 coaches, or buses.

It was manned by a very pleasant attendant with a ticket machine charging cars £1 (about $1.40) and coaches £5 (about $7).

This parking attendant worked there solid for all of 25 years. Then, one day, he just didn't turn up for work.

"Oh well", said Bristol Zoo Management - "we'd better phone up the City Council and get them to send a new parking attendant . . . "

"Err . . . no", said the Council, "that parking lot is your responsibility."

"Err . . . no", said Bristol Zoo Management, "the attendant was employed by the City Council, wasn't he?"

"Err . . . no!" insisted the Council.

Sitting in his villa somewhere on the coast of Spain (presumably), is a man who had been taking the parking lot fees, estimated at £400 (about $560) per day at Bristol Zoo for the last 25 years. Assuming 7 days a week, this amounts to just over £3.6 million ($7 million - or $280,000 every year for 25 years)!

And no one even knows his name

Sounds good to me, want a seatmate? I'm good at counting....and if I use my best British accent, I could probably get them to pay more.
