Did you ask them which continent that the needed the pen from?

Don't challenge pre-teens with geography ...

68% on my practice exam, with a gaping hole in my knowledge of economics. If I can shore that up over the next week, I should hit my passing score.

Do you have any broad-based undergraduate economics textbooks around? Or a local college/university where you have borrowing rights?

Part A would be no...I still don't know how I managed to get a degree in history without completing either Macro or Micro. I can go back to my old school and sit in the library, but my ID is expired so I don't think I can borrow. Worst case, my local library is right down the street, and I'm going home Monday morning.

ETA: I did attempt to take Micro when I was in the degree track for Hospitality. The professor objected to my having one of my feet up on the small storage area under the chair of the desk next to mine. He responded nonverbally by yanking the chair out from under my foot, despite no prior warning of his displeasure. Several expletives later, many of which were directed at the professor personally, I walked out and went directly to Student Services to drop the class.

Is there a detailed current breakdown of economic subject matter on the exam?

All forms of Econ are listed as 15% of test content. No specific break between Micro/Macro.

ConciergeMike Jul 18, 2009 5:47 pm

The lack of knowledge in Econ doesn't so much concern me as does the fact that I frequently succeeded in narrowing down to the two seemingly correct answers, but failed to pick the "best practice" answer in about two-thirds of the relevant questions. I rushed and burned myself...that 68% could have easily been around 75% if I took the time to read the question several times over.

I'd focus more on macro just because it is more abstract. I still don't understand why colleges teach micro before macro because concepts in macro make micro muc simpler.

I had the same problem with A+ and Network+ practice tests. The content is ridiculously easy but you have to answer some questions the way they want you to, and that was the one question I missed on each exam, purely because I didn't read it thoroughly enough. to me on that one.

Looks like we have a winner. I just ran the breakdown on the specific test I took, and there are 13 macros questions vs. 9 micro. Anecdotally that's 60/40 in favor of macro.
