A bad bagel can possibly be salvaged with PB&J.

Einstein's does not have anything that remotely comes close to being a real bagel.

Lenders does NOT make bagels. They make frozen small tasteless round bread. Blech!

Have you tried the new Triscits? I just discovered the Cracked Pepper and Olive Oil. They are great with tuna fish.

I don't like the 'old' triscits, the large fat ones, I like the thin crisp kind, and I have tried the Olive Oil kind and like them as well.

ARGH!!:mad: We've had a leak right above our dining room window forever it seems. We thought the contractor had fixed it. This rain storm that just came through proved otherwise.:mad: It all stems from the poor construction of this house. Even the inspection at purchase time couldn't uncover this mess. Water had been leaking behind the drywall. Only until we noticed mold along the window sill and the drywall, then we realized the problem was huge. I hope my contractor comes soon. I may not be home if the job fairy grants me a wish. This isn't covered by insurance. The good news, is that I'll be working (eventually) to help pay for this repair.

Agree, Blech!! and that is exactly what I think about eating unsalted saltines, but at least I know what I am getting into when I would be loony enough to buy them.

Did you buy a home warranty? if so, will it cover?

You are absolutely right. In fact, I'd dare say that most items sold as bagels are not even close except in shape.

No home warranty. We didn't think we needed one on a 6 year old home (at the time).:(

When I was working out in Phoenix almost 12 years ago it took me 2 weeks to find a real bagel and that was at a place in Tempe.

There is a jewish couple that has/had(before the years of road construction on US1) a bagel shop in miami, it was a place you could go and get a nice bagel. It was only open early in the morning till about noon, but it had some good ones.

I don't know the address of it, but it was off US1. I haven't been by there in 3 years now, I started to avoid it because the road was always down to 1 lane, many of the businesses along there closed due to inability to get in the shops.
