How is the lenders bagel company still in business?!

I bought some at the store yesterday because I was cravin a bagel, with no local shops making them (and no dunkin nearby either, they make a passable bagel for a chain), I needed something to feed the craving.

Well a lender's bagel tastes like unsalted saltines. If I'd know that upfront I could have just gotten myself some saltines and stuffed my face, and I truely hate them.

I go to reading the label and it says "WARNING: Contains wheat."

It should say: "WARNING: This bagel contains wheat and water, with a tiny pinch of salt, and is otherwise tasteless. May cause allergic reaction for those with taste in food."

Fiancee's parents favorite kind of bagel. Love her parents, but they have no concept of flavor as people.

Sara Lee makes a better bagel than lenders and that's not a compliment.

I just check the FAA map and I can see that I will probably have a  day tonight at the office.

EWR: delays 2+ hours and increasing
IAH: delays 1.5+ hours and decreasing

Guess I better say night night and take a long nap.

not surprised, we have a big storm roll over out west here, and they looked stronger out south.

And you have to toast them and add butter for flavor. Just because they have a hole in the middle does not make them bagels. :D

Oh joy, turkey sandwich or salad as dinner on my flight. Good thing I chowed down on wendy's before boarding.

Have you tried the new Triscits? I just discovered the Cracked Pepper and Olive Oil. They are great with tuna fish.

actually that was the only other options the store had, and I had one of those 6-8 months ago, it was undercooked and doughy, something the toaster could not properly rectify. I hadn't had a lenders in at least....a decade?...so went with that, bad bad choice on either count.

The bakery makes some bagels (a kroger) but they were sold out of plain or wheat, and I did not want onion or everything (too many seeds) or cinnamon raisin. now I've not had a kroger bakery bagel, it may be terrible, but it can't be worse than a lenders.

This lenders is stuck in my teeth now and reminds me of lord's supper at church with that yuck they call bread.

I like them plain and put a schmear on them, that is one thing I like at Einstein's

but if the base bagel is horrible, it doesn't do well with anything :(

Poop.

mun2 (pronounced alternately as mundos or moon dos) which is geared towards younger Latino viewers. Didn't even know I had that channel.

And it turns out that they changed their mind about tape delaying the match on the West Coast.
