I have seen reports of some unreal aircraft and configurations being used to transports the throngs of pilgrims for Hajj.

No doubt there are some intriguing rust-buckets and routes to be flown from some of the Muslim African nations on charter carriers of dubious vintage.

Damn, I was playing around with the expressjet site and they do not give you a quote without contact info. Makes sense, but I was just curious about chartering a plane for a day trip to MDW to see the Clowns get mauled by the Bears.

I just did my part to push the Box FM over 1MM

I suspect you want IST-LHR for the TK F Suites on the 77W, but you might consider DCA-ORD-IST-DKR-GRU.

I'd really like to try LAX-JFK-IST-DKR-GRU-ZRH-LAX on a cash + mi. redemption. If I could snag it as a Zone 3--->4 cash+mi. at 30K mi. + (whatever) Pounds, that would be :D

It would be 210 pounds.

Hmm, I just realized that no stopovers are permitted in Europe. That would make what I originally wanted to do impossible, but would still allow for a US-Europe-SA routing, in general.

maybe not...

Stopover = On ground > 24 Hours. :-:

It costs way more miles than U.S.--->S. America, but is worth keeping in mind if you do decide to try for CPT, again... You can do 4 one-ways (U.S.--->Europe, Europe--->Africa, and reverse) for the same amount of miles as U.S.--->Africa roundtrip. That way, you can build more stopovers into your trip, and sneak back-tracking by the ICC agents. :-::-::-:

I think I am going to try for EK for CPT again (with a stopover in DXB) and just dedicate a trip to US-EU-SA-EU-US. I had hope to build a stopover at LHR into that trip, but is not possible under the BD rules.

Yeah that is high on my list as well - the big question is whether you can swing the 380 since you already have an LR on your list.

It was a good comment, but alas I could not take anymore.

In the now-closed second meal thread. The troll in question is eerily reminiscent of the aforementioned and thankfully departed king of the trolls, IMHO.
