There was still ~25% that they don't own. My guess is that this is about that bit, not the 50%+1 they bought from SMB.

As a reminder, DNT still has one Airbus A320-200 for sale. |

I pride myself on my fleet utilization/block timing skills. I have a couple of planes that are in use 23.8 or 23.9 hours per day. I think my most-utilized jet is at 23.96. I learned from CO. :p

No op-up for me :( |
Evening Box,
After a crazy start to my flying week, it ended last night uneventfully - which was good. I did not, however, realize that DFW E Terminal completely shuts down by 7 pm. When they announced last call at the PC, I figured it would be no problem to grab some food for my slightly delayed flight.... but I was wrong. Everything was closed... I ended up buying a stupid PopTart from a vending machine as dinner on the flight home. Lesson learned... next week I'll leave earlier and just hang at the gate... |

I have 1/2/2 available on mine, but can't get hops short enough to even do .5 freq to another dest that is profitable enough to pay for the gates. 50,000 a month for a gate when making 100-900 a day :td:

I need to figure out what I'm going to do in World 2.0 - I had an idea for my airline and I'm not sure I wanna do it now. |

That's because nobody really wants to fly GRK-ABI or ABI-SJT.
no doubt you are right :) I tried GRK ABI and it was the best route, about 1500 a day, in the 12 seater. ABI-MAF is the lowest performing that I still have in use, but it is netting over 15k at the end of the month. |

12 seats is part of the problem too. Those are low demand routes, but the demand is lowered even more by the higher fares you have to charge to be profitable on such a small aircraft. With a larger plane it might work better. I dropped several routes that were under $10,000 in daily profit, but even those were covering their overhead for the month after just 3-5 days. I intend to restart some of those after getting my next plane tomorrow.
edit: make that a 36 seater. |
