Whoda thunkit? Africa is wide-open. Lots of tin-pot dictatorships to choose from with higher passenger traffic. If you like, I can reset your airline and TARP you enough to purchase a Potez 842 & Shorts 360-100 (your current fleet), and 12 gates (your present total). That way, you can set up shop at a Third-World  airport with more pax traffic.
Thanks though! |

I still have a year left. I'm just done for the summer (which is reason enough to celebrate).

Cuba ain't great either for demand, but I'm still making decent cash with my single AN-24V. About ready to order my second plane — could do it right now, actually, but trying to finalize my decision on what to buy. Anyone have experience with the AIDC XC-2? I'd never heard of the thing. According to Wikipedia, it's some Chinese prototype airliner that never saw actual production in the real world, but Airline Mogul has it for sale. It's slightly larger and faster than the Shorts 360 that several Third World airlines have, but also has longer range, and a couple more seats. The turn time is just slightly longer, but that's probably more than made up for by the faster speed. I'm thinking about it for some of the shorter routes I had my Antonov on, but dropped, not because they weren't profitable, but because there were more profitable uses for that plane. I'm looking for something a little cheaper, with less range, and a little smaller capacity, to put on some of my short-haul, medium-demand routes out of HAV. And the Shorts, while it's ugly as hell, just isn't quite as exotic as late 1970s/early 1980s communist China technology.

I'm operating the XC-2. One is outperforming my Shorts 360 by about 12K EUR, and one makes slightly less (though is plying less lucrative routes)

Just noticed that LAX-HNL has a 764ER in July. Interesting.

Is it just me, or does it drive the rest of you nuts that in most cases Airline Mogul refers to airports only by their official name, not by the city they're located in, or the airport code? |
I am REALLY REALLY tired of Airline Mogul and Safari not getting along...the Research Route screen loves to crash Safari.
In other news, I'm listening to Upgrd - am I the only one that wants to have drinks with Hunter? He's a lunatic. ^ |

LOL. It's doing quite well on HAV-MEX/MIA/PTY/SJU.

I did not know at the time it was capitalist trash! I just know it was ugly as anything and all I could afford at the time that was not 9 passenger. Who knew someone would pay over 2.5k for a ticket to ATL! |

I don't think so. The attitude and the back and forth between him and Ben is hilarious, to me anyway.
