Did you try the onion rings when you were in ACY? Tun Tavern's rings are some of the best in the biz, IMHO.

They are not bad. I will have them the first week of June. I will be trapped in ACY for a trade show.

Is anyone else experiencing a delay in the posting of travel bank credits from the last week or so? I just wanted to check before contacting CO.

I haven't been on a plane in two weeks.

I am getting Cabin (or lack of cabin) fever.

I'm home!

I've managed to lose an entire day of the week, but otherwise life is returning to normal. I've done enough research hours to decisively conclude that CO's Y-seat on the 767 is the hardest substance known to man. You can polish/sharpen diamonds with it.

Oh, so much to randomly comment on. For all the shiny metal people - you know how much you lament an upgrade not clearing? There is a worse fate - imagine sitting there and not being able to even be considered :( Tragic sad, but after all this sitting in Y that shall never be my fate again ;)

The return HNL-IAH was so under-booked that they were trying to sell BF at the gate. I was the only person to even bother asking what they wanted for it ($450 is the full price to buy up, it goes down per Elite status and if I was Plat it'd of been $350 with my cheapie ticket). The best part of that discussion? The GA looking at my fare and going "OMG?!? Did you really pay $400 RT? Are we that desperate to sell seats?" That was good for a laugh, and she blocked the middle for me, so hurray - it pays to humor people.

Other fun from today - IAH-MCO "We'd like to welcome parties with children.." and the entire waiting area except like 5 people rush to the gate.

Nothing has posted to my account for travel I completed on the 6th and the 9th. I have already sent in a report on the 6th though.

I'm waiting for a credit to post from the 9th. Sounds like there is just a delay...

I never received my PHL-IAH-SAN run or the SAN-EWR-PHL credit. I just figured they were screwed up as usual and was going to wait 2 weeks before contacting them, although it is a real pita now to keep track what you are due

George Keeley's has an unsecured WiFi hotspot within range. Delicious beer (started with the Hoppin Frog Oatmeal Stout), some more travel writing and free internet. Nothing better in life. Oh, and onion rings, too, just for something different. :D

How many more beers until you get your name on the wall?

I am just surprised that the gas stations actually prefer cash. It is dirty, it takes up space... Actually, I mean it costs to have to get armor trucks to pick up the cash or attract robbery, etc.

The reason they prefer cash is that as the price goes through the roof, the profit the local dealer gets doesn't change. However the CC charges are based on a percentage of sales and as the price goes up, it cuts into the local guy's profit and in some cases the CC charges were greater than the profit so the local dealer would take a loss. This of course did not effect the suppliers.

The cost of handling cash can be easily mitigated by the, ahem, flexibility that cash provides. Ask any pizza shop owner.

Every fuel transaction is recorded not only at the dealer but at the supplier and in many cases with the State so the cash deal doesn't work for the fuel industry.

.

I got the same comment about my $400 fare. I was also in the same boat on my HNL trip haveing to listen to the phrase "now boarding all remaining passengers."

Are you going to Police and Security? I thought that was later in June.

Promotions East. I am compensated to travel to trade shows with the s/o to construct, set-up and break down the exhibit booths. Not a bad deal, meals, room and entertainment paid for. Even a tank of gas. ;)

When does the handicap seat in F get released to choose? I am in 3E but would like 1B. There are 11/12 in F and the PDA site shows 1B open but when I check-in it's still blocked.

I think 24 hours, but you can try to call and see if they will give it to you know. As always, ymmv.

You may have a FAM but they haven't made a final decision yet.

Next stop, Newark Liberty International Airport. Apparently, this train doesn't stop at Metropark. ^
