I am all for us having at least one person up front, so I'll continue to split the PNRs.

We do that too — book under different PNRs from the start (if I split then I get one $5 Travel Club credit; if I book under two PNRs from the very start I get two $5 Travel Club credits) and then figure it out if I get the EUA. There have been a few times after I've been upgraded that I've redeemed miles for my partner's upgrade to guarantee it, especially on flights where we wanted to both sit up front and there was going to be no chance of a companion upgrade.

Indeed, and they know that those are the steps. But based on CO Insider's last post they have no plans to implement that fix anytime soon.

I have been out of the loop this week - what is this about?

Starwood claims a couple of its former employees that Hilton recruited away took confidential documents from Starwood, which Hilton used to accelerate the development and launch of its new Denizen brand, which is designed to fit the same market segment as W.

Not true. The TC credit is $5 per ticket, not per booking. I have a few $10 credits on my account from trips with Mrs. sbm12.

Remember, we are talking about Shares, so it likely is that hard.

Morning Box. What a :rolleyes:tastic day so far.

The companion upgrade process with CO has been my single biggest complaint of the OnePass program since I joined. They need to either fix or or kill it. It's poorly designed, poorly executed, and is a "no win" for anyone.

In my opinion, the current system devalues the program and causes elites a lot of heart-burn.

Oh, CO has those too. I forgot about them.

I disagree. I've used it a few times and i've never had a problem with it honestly. Though it is a benefit that I expect will only be granted once in a blue moon.

There are little gotchas, but every system has little gotchas.

The only reason they have it on UAUA is for Barney's favorite line
"Have You met Ted"

Does anyone have Scott's email address? I received a response from we-care re my denial of companion upgrade, and I want to copy him on my response to their response!! Which was a typical form letter response offering no resolution whatsoever!!

I didn't see anyone respond. I would just send him a PM and wait a few days. He does get a bit behind but he will respond.

Really?

My IAH-ORD trip TC just posted and all I got was $5, even though there were two tickets.

ROFL. Does that mean they'll be pulling it soon?

You're right. However, it often doesn't work for me.
