Anyone in the box interested in doing a GIG run 5/15-5/18? CO 1E are you gonna go?

On another note, we started tlaking about Shogun 27 last week. Does anyone have any dates in mind for those in the NY/NJ area?

I don't know if I can do it that weekend yet. I have a general interest in going to GIG next month, though.

We do that too — book under different PNRs from the start (if I split then I get one $5 Travel Club credit; if I book under two PNRs from the very start I get two $5 Travel Club credits) and then figure it out if I get the EUA. There have been a few times after I've been upgraded that I've redeemed miles for my partner's upgrade to guarantee it, especially on flights where we wanted to both sit up front and there was going to be no chance of a companion upgrade.

I have gotten the two credits on my parents flights. I am not too worried about it because usually when I dont get a credit I get one from someone elses flight so it is all a wash.

Not true. The TC credit is $5 per ticket, not per booking. I have a few $10 credits on my account from trips with Mrs. sbm12.

I concur. I get $10 for each time my parents fly. After today I dont know if that $5 or $10 is worth it though.

Agreed. I have had some decent success with companion upgrades.

Is it a published benefit that you get credits for every ticket you purchase (even if it is for someone else)? Sometimes I get $10 if traveling with my fiancee, but most times (like Hartmann) I only get $5. I've never chased CO down for the missing credit as I didn't know what the official policy was.

I have lost out on the SAT-IAH companion upgrade but gotten the SFO-IAH one (it was Xmas EVE/DAy though). It is a good program just wish it was easier to do.

Anyone remember what the original mileage routing rules are if CO rebooks you on a different airline with a shorter route? Monday I was scheduled ATL-IAH-BTR but CO rebooked me nonstop on DL ATL-BTR due to weather delays that would have left me stranded at IAH Monday night.

Call the elite line after they are posted and have it fixed. This is especially important during DEQMs time!!!

Not a bad idea. As you dont want her to become a MissU!

^^

(which is why I'm a consultant...)

I love the life of a consultant so far. Work 30 hours and flying somewhere on the weekend. :)

NEW JERSEY/FANCYCHESTER, July 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Penalty Box Consulting, LLC, a leading solutions and architecture provider in nobody is really sure what, announced its formation of a Latin American Division today. The similarly named Caja De Penales Consultantes had not been doing much of anything in its Panama City offices today when it was surprised to hear of the acquisition. Penales Consultantes CEO R. Olov was stunned to learn that his company would now be the first step in Penalty Box's ultimate global expansion. "Ay, Dios mio" was all Mr. Olov could manage to utter as an army of Penalty Box minions entered his building, many of them armed with daquiri machines and man-portable beer kegs.

Penalty Box Consulting, LLC will buy out Penales Consultantes in a combined stock and frequent-flyer miles swap, with the latter portion of the transaction occurring in a heretofore unknown economic vehicle known as Coupon Connection. Details of the swap were not released by either company, however Penalty Box executive secretary Mike Holovacs was positively giddy over his upcoming trip to Singapore and he was witnessed mumbling incoherently about champagne and suites. Penalty Box Vice President for Human Resources Sullivan Stevens III remarked that the integration of the two companies would be "easy, seamless, and shouldn't take more than a few drinks' time to complete."

Penalty Box Consulting ("PBC, LLC") is the world's fifth largest consultancy, specializing in the topic of the day. PBC, together with Penales Consultantes and inhouse legal counsel ALCO Connection, has more than 3,100 clients throughout the Americas, with a strong desire for expansion into Europe and Asia. The staff currently visits their genius upon 145 domestic and 138 international corporations and bars. More than 550 additional clients are served via the MySpace consulting alliance. With more than 45,000 employees, PBC, LLC has offices serving clients in New York, Houston, San Francisco and San Diego, and together with Penales Consultantes, carries approximately 69 million alcoholic beverages per year. Rock and/or Roll

If any NY/NJ people are interested in coming to see me at work doing my weekend job, come to Molly Maguires (right off the Parkway exit 135 in Clark, NJ) tonight.....I'll be the guy playing the drums. I guarantee it'll be a whole lot more interesting than watching me do what I do during the week.

Band starts at 10:00. Check out www.strongerthandirt.com for details ^

Say what you will about CLE/Ohio, but it is so much easier to have a house like that than in most other parts of the country. If only the winters were not so harsh . . . . Hell, it is almost worthwhile to buy a nice house in CLE (knowing that you won't get much appreciation) and just fly to your job in a bigger city every week and keep a smaller place there as an investment and crash bad during the week.

There's no Devils game, and I'm checking on whether or not my other half is booked that night. Tentatively good to go, but that's just me.
